Carthage Opera House Haunted History Tours and Paranormal Investigations

Does a moment in time echo here at the King Opera House, in Van Buren, Arkansas? October 5, 1903- The Tolson Stock Company had been performing here, the last performance the night before. Early in the morning the troop was at the train depot to leave, when Dr. William Parchman approached Charles Tolson, the young actor and manager of the company, pulled a revolver and shot. It was rumored that the doctor believed Tolson had been romantically involved with Parchman's daughter.... Tolson died days later. Parchman claimed Tolson acted as if he was about to pull a gun on him although there was no evidence Tolson had a gun. Dr. Parchman was found 'not guilty' of murder at trial.
