Like many of you, COVID has drastically reduced my travel time to and from work. What was once a 20 minute commute is now a 20 second commute. Is it bad that I am STILL late to work at times? Anyways, as a woman of intention, that time has been repurposed and manifested in fruitful ways. I now have more time and energy to mastermind with the DOPE THERAPIST TRIBE to learn and share best practices when communicating with the folx I love most. (You do know I'm talking about you, right?!) Since March, I've learned so many incalculably valuable things that directly influence my level of expertise as a couples therapist. I don't know about y'all, but ever since I was little, whenever I get stressed out, I sing. There is something about getting all the breath in my body out that feels soooo goooood!! I know, silly huh?! It's cool. I own that. Some would even say its something they come to love about me. Give me a good R&B ballad to belt out and I promise you TEARS!! Who cares if they are tears or pain??? If I'm singing by definition they are tears of Joy. The record deal is coming, y'all. Can't say if it will be this lifetime, but I KNOW its on the way.
