Getting prepped for a newborn session this afternoon. I’m only 3 weeks postpartum but I couldn’t say no to this sweet mama who had her baby only a few days after mine!

About five seconds after I took this, Oliver tried to pull out his booby and feed sissy. We’re soaking up these last few days before Kristian heads back to work on Monday. Honestly, I am SO nervous to be alone with them both at home. Oliver has been verrrrry clingy with me and Gemma has had issues with gas and reflux so they’ve both needed quite a bit of attention. My son decided he was sick last night so we’re taking it easy and staying inside. My weekends off are my favorite times to get a ton of housework done to prep for the week ahead, but being big pregnant and taking care of a sick kiddo I have to remind myself to slow down. Let’s talk SLEEP REGRESSIONS because Oliver is going through a terrrible one and I’m sick. of. It. I don’t know if he’s realizing things are about to change or if he’s just growing, but he just will not stay in his bed! He’s been crawling to his door and sleeping on the floor (yes, this makes me feel AWFUL). Hello, 2021! Having a snow/ice day on the first day of the year is kind of refreshing! Staying in PJs, drinking coffee, and shutting ourselves inside with no obligations. I’m here for it.

Winding down to the last few hours of 2020 Despite all the craziness that the pandemic threw at us, I can’t be too upset with how the year unfolded. Just on the business side of things, I photographed 70+ sessions and 4 weddings! I truly have the best clients and I am incredibly thankful for all of your support! On the non-business side of things, we celebrated my sons first birthday, were expecting a baby girl in two months, and we just bought our dream home. It’s easy to focus on all of the negative things that this year brought, but I am really happy with the positives! What is one good thing that came out of 2020 for you?
