Merry Christmas from us to you! We hope you and yours have a safe and happy holiday, and we'll reopen on Monday at 9:00 AM.
Join Cathy as she demonstrates this month's Take & Make craft, then come and pick up a free kit to try it out yourself! (While supplies last; first come, first served.) Scandinavian (or Danish) woven hearts are a traditional winter craft. While we don’t know their exact origins, the oldest example we have was made by author Hans Christian Anderson in 1860. They’re often filled with candy or cookies and hung as decorations. For this month’s adult take and make we’ll be making our own with colorful paper. Each kit contains instructions for both simple and more complex versions.
Join Ms. Renee this morning for Toddler Time, with lots of stories, songs, rhymes, and FUN! Register to reserve a free storytime kit that includes a shaky egg, scarf, and book: https://bit.ly/2KY05Fz Storytimes and early literacy programs at the library are supported by an Institute of Museum and Library Services grant administered by the Missouri State Library.
‘Tis the season for giving books! Ms. Sharon is back with suggestions for great tween books to help make your holiday shopping easier. Want a chance to win a basket of new titles for tweens? Tag a friend in the comments of this video for your chance! And if you'd rather check it out from the library...links to the titles will be available in the comments to make it easy to put your favorites on hold!
