Ok, so I did these on myself. They look good as long as you don’t look under the hood. I have an appointment next week to have them taken out and re-installed by a professional, other than myself. I’m sure it will look a million times better, but it still looks pretty good.

- Since 2019 I’ve taken 3 different beaded row extension certifications. My first was with @sultryhairco and gave me the basics of how to install a beaded row. A few months later I was invited by @hairjosh to attend a @bellamiprofesional certification, and just last week I received another certification from @hotheads. And you know what? I still have a ton to learn.... Having knowledge of multiple methods is important since EVERYONE’S hair has different needs and abilities. This is the first time since being certified in Bellami that I’ve been able to actually move the guest’s row up without completely removing it. It just never seemed to work on my other guests and I was starting to get discouraged, which is why I got certified in Hot Heads. Turns out the guests I was having a hard time with don’t have hair that works well with the Bellami method. They really need to have the rows completely removed and re-installed every 4-6 weeks, and the Hot Heads technique is perfect for them but not necessary for this beautiful guest. Practice makes better and there will never be a time when I know everything there is to know about hair. Hair trends are constantly changing and evolving, and because of this so am I.

- Clip-in extensions are easy to install and remove. Plus, about a fraction of the price of other extension methods. This beauty came for a haircut and brought some extensions in she’d had for awhile but just didn’t know how to use. They were real hair and a nice quality. The just needed some fine tuning.... I washed, installed, cut and styled them to fit her head. Then I drew her an awesome diagram to follow at home. Seriously, my job is the best.

Meoooow, mama. Isn’t my best friend a total SMOKESHOW?! We spent about 4+ hours yesterday freshening up her color with a partial balayage, toner, and olaplex treatment. Then I reinstalled her 22 Bellami extensions, which I added dimension to the night before.... It was a process for sure but the results speak for themselves. This stunners last visit was 9 MONTHS ago. 9. MONTHS. AGO.... That's the beauty of rooted blondes, you really only need to have them touched up once or twice a year. Can you say "low maintenance" ?! However, I would suggest a visit or two in between for toners and root smudges, possibly a few foils to brighten up around the face, but that's negotiable. - I can not believe I haven't shared this before. It's definitely one of my favorite transformations. For this stunner I used one bag, or almost all of one bag of Bellami Pro tape-in extensions.... Since the goal wasn't to add length all over the installation was quick. I didn't even have to color her hair, natural or otherwise. I live for stuff like this. It's such a fun way to get through a grow out. Plus, there are so many options now when it comes to extensions. They definitely aren't just for long hair anymore.

CHA CHA CHANGES 2020 has been full of ‘em. What’s one more?... If you’ve been into see me recently you know that my family had to make some tough decisions about the upcoming school year. We decided that the best way to get through the upcoming year was to have K do virtual school while I stay home and facilitate. It’s all well and good but because of this I won’t be able to be at the salon much. So, J and I came up with another option: we decided to turn the recently remodeled exercise room into a salon. Yes, sooner than later Candice Ashley Beauty will be located in charming Platte Woods, Mo. This will allow me to both be home more and work more. Win/Win I will keep you posted. - ... because, why not?! Lately I've been honing my extension skills. Practicing different methods, playing with different hair.... Bellami is still my favorite hair, however this guest wanted in rather quickly so we decided to forgo ordering extensions and instead just picking up some hair at Sally's. The hair wasn't a bad quality, but most of the tabs had to be retaped because the adhesive just wasn't that great. As you can see it still worked. 3 bags of Sally's hair later and she has the hair of her dreams. Don't you think it's about time YOU have the hair of your dreams? If you're ready, I'm here. Currently in the process of rebooking all appointments. [ Y A Y! ] While waiting to return to the salon it's important to be aware of some new safety & sanitation guidelines. Coming into the salon is going to look a lot different for awhile. Think about being in a hospital, and more specifically a surgery room.... It's going to be tricky and it will definitely take some getting used to but I have faith that we will persevere. Here are some of the new guidelines: Every person in the salon, myself included, will have their temperature taken as soon as they enter. Anything over 99.9 and you will be asked to reschedule with no penalty. All stylists and guests will HAVE TO wear a mask for the entirety of their service. They should be the kind that go over your ears. No mask means no service. If you are sick, have been exposed to anyone who has COVID-19, or symptoms of please reschedule. One guest in per service. Unless you have a scheduled appointment you will not be allowed in the salon. I will be wearing gloves for every service. This may take some getting used to, for both of us, but I'm positive we can make it work. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out. Thank you all for your patience.
