In a recent conversation with another friend in business, I was given the advice You can’t take care of your business if you don’t take care of yourself. And as of tomorrow I will be doing just that! Tomorrow, January 5th I am scheduled for my 3rd (and hopefully final) Hip Surgery. Since 2016 when I opened Cake House, I’ve been struggling physically with an injury that has progressively gotten worse over time. ... While I am extremely nervous for the outcome I am remaining hopeful thanks to all the support around me. During this time, I will be stepping away from in person consults & phone meetings for a few weeks while I let my body recover. Taking a break is hard. Especially for the Major Control Freak that I am. ~It’s hard to admit I need help ~It’s hard to admit I’m not the best I can be ~It’s hard to let go of the reigns ~It’s hard to rest This is Hard One thing I am very confident in, is that Cake House will be taken care of! My team is beyond capable of holding down the fort and I’m forever grateful for that!
