We got 2 great SAE visits in today. Braxton works at O'Reilly Auto Parts helping customers, stocking and organizing, turning brake rotors, testing batteries, taking inventory and more. Bronson works at Lucas Cattle in Cross Timbers. In the summer he rakes hay, sprays, mows, and weekends. This time of year he does maintenance on machinery and equipment, power washing, welding, and whatever else needs taking care of.

Congratulations to Mercedes Horinek on her admission to MSU and Ozark Christian College! From MSU, Mercedes was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship ($2,000 yr + $1,0...00 housing, $12,000 potential) and from Ozark Christian College, she was awarded the Richardson Dean’s Scholarship ($5,000 per year, $20,000 potential). Students got to process a newborn litter of piglets today at the Stokes farm. They docked tails and notched ears in order for the litter to be registered. @ Brighton, Missouri We followed that up with lunch at Doe's Eat Place and ended the day touring Ozark Organics in Buffalo.

Our 2nd tour of the day was Missouri Prime Beef Packers, a new processing plant in Pleasant Hope that is anticipating a 500 head per day capacity. Look for their beef in the local Cash Saver early next year. @ Pleasant Hope, Missouri

CORNMAZE TRIP Wednesday October 28!!! Cost is $10 for the trip. A mask will be required on the bus. Leave at 5-5:15 pm and return by 10 pm!! Bring warm clothes !!

We are late in posting, but thank you to everyone that came and tried to donate during our Blood Drive! Despite a few hiccups in the process, we had 52 come in and successfully had 32 donations. That is awesome! And the winner of our MFA gift card drawing is Zoee Vasquez!

Our Angus heifer donated from Ron Locke had her calf last night, and it's a heifer! The MS ag class weighed it and got it tagged today.

FFA is hosting a Blood Drive next Thursday, October 8th in the HS Field House from 8:00-2:00 and we would love to see our community come in to donate! Ag Mechanics has been receiving a lot of new equipment from our enhancement grant this week. Students are working on assembling tool cabinets for our new small gas engine lab, and have been putting together our new Sawstop Table Saw. #learningbydoing #safetyfirst #careersuccess
