Blue River Parkway Trails 15.11.2020

Came across some rogue trailwork on Highline Express over the weekend. If you are interested in volunteering please sign up through the Urban Trail Co website, and you will be put in contact with the appropriate trail seward. Substandard/unsafe work such as this just takes time away from our core builders to fix when they could be out working on the numerous other projects already on their plate.

Each season has it's beauty, even Fainter.

Thanks to these fine people, glorious leadership of Patrick McCue and the almost divine skid steer skills of Barry Hardee, FLOWRIDE IS OPEN AGAIN! Added a couple features and cleaned up a few things but we still aren't done with the revamp. Keep you eyes open for more workdays!

Flowride is Open, some of the berms are still very loose so ride carefully. Note: Flowride is a one way downhill bikes only trail. No equestrians or hikers are allowed.

We need water! With the forecast dry for the near future, looking for ways to get a lot of water 200' into the woods from a nearby road. Anyone have a tanker/pump that wants to help out? ATV with sprayer/tank? Need 100's of gallons. Flowride won't be rideable until it gets some moisture and since it's all volunteer built on a shoestring budget, hoping there's someone willing to help out!

Flowride will need to stay closed until we get some rain. Conditions are talcom powder which makes the berms super soft and dangerous and riding it now will ruin all the work we put in. Please don't ride or walk it.

Made some good progress the last day and a half on Flowride. Come out tomorrow at 10am to help shape and tamp. Event details on this page.

Great opportunity to check out the property that HCA saved, get familiar with other great organizations, and support an awesome cause. SAVE OUR GREEN SPACES!

Some new trails quietly shaping up. We've been slowly working in small groups to continue the push north. We plan to hold some public workdays in the near future though. The "circle of death" rule, proper spacing when using sharp tools, has an even stronger meaning these days. If you don't know how to sign up to help, go to urbantrailco.com/volunteer to sign up for the workday email list.
