Keep your pets safe during extreme cold temperatures Make sure they have proper shelter from the weather, like a dog house or if you can bring them inside. Have straw for bedding for insulation and warmth.... Make sure they have plenty of food and water at all times. Check their water regularly as it can freeze quickly

As winter arrives and temperatures drop, remember that some dogs are bred to be outside in cold weather. Heavy-coated northern dogs like Husky’s, Malamutes, Great Pyrenees, Newfoundlands, and Bernese mountain dogs are bred to stay outside all winter and frequently prefer to be outside even in bitterly cold temperatures often to their owners’ dismay. If you see a dog with a full coat outside this winter, they are probably perfectly happy.
