Bright Beginnings

Bright Beginnings is currently enrolling for the 2021-2022 school year!! If interested in enrolling your child please call the school at 660-831-0526 or the church office at 660-886-2270. Enrollment is on a first come first serve basis and children must be toilet trained. Every child enrolled receives a free T-Shirt. The Bright Beginnings Early Childhood Center is a private, non-profit early childhood program that is a mission of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Our goal is to provide a quality early childhood program that not only prepares children for kindergarten, but also keeps Christ at the center of their lives.

Posted on behalf of Mrs. Lark - Yesterday we were informed that a very special angel was headed to her eternal home to be with our Heavenly Father. Our BBECC family is heartbroken over the loss of our special Jersey Girl, Mrs. Peggy Goodheart. If you knew our Peggy, you know that she loved Pumpkin pie blizzards, the Steelers, handbags, the smell of Honeysuckle Bath and Body Works lotion, she made cherry cheesecake without needing the recipe, she was always trying to keep h...er English under control, she was a peanut butter lover, she loved her family and friends with a ferocity the devil himself couldn’t stop. If you were lucky enough to have been part of our BBECC family then you also know that she was a grandma in every sense of the word to every kid that walked through our doors. She hugged them and held them when they were sad. They knew she loved them and they loved her. Our students wouldn’t go home talking about their teachers, they went home talking about Ms. Peggy. She was sassy and she was ours. On a personal note I will miss her calling me Missy and the many prayers that she and I shared in our sanctuary. Tomorrow is her birthday and what an amazing celebration it will be at the feet of Jesus. I am sure that her daughter Penney will be closely by waiting for their reunion hug. Everyone is invited to the annual Bright Beginnings hog roast this Sunday, September 27th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm! Come into the Our Redeemer Luther Church fellowship hall (361 W Summit) for a take out dinner or come through the drive thru at the back of the church (watch for signs). Take home a wonderful dinner of roast pork, potato casserole, green beans, slaw, bread, and a dessert of cookies or brownies. Free will offering will be collected to support the children of Bright Beginnings Early Childhood Center.
