With the upswing of Crime of all sorts all across the state of Missouri, I have had many people tell me 'LET THE POLICE HANDLE IT' Well this article might just be the eye opener people need to understand the need for & exercise of our 2nd Amentment rights. Also taking personal resposibilty for one safety & security. Just as importantly the need of training for those that choose to exercise that right

This is a Prime example of the 'WRONG','ILLEGAL' & DANGEROUS' use of a Firearm. Even those that have worked with and been around guns can benefit from getting a refreshers training course or getting tools to learn de-escalation techniques It is also a Prime example of the need for people new to gun ownership,the need to seek out Training from an experienced,qualified Certified instructor.

Apparently early this morning some 'strange guy' as my daughter put it came banging on her boyfriends parents house at Rynolds & 33rd screaming for help. Apparently after he pounded a few times and no one came to the door he moved on to a couple of other house's. She said he got into one of the house's and apperantly the people that lived there had called the police & once they arrived a few minutes later she said they hauled him off in handcuffs.... Now this man may have been geuinely been in need of help,..but...I remind everyone in these crazy times we have some very problematic homelss,Alcohlic,addicted & mentally ill people in our city and in this general vacinity. As an NRA Certifed firearms instructor and security Cosultant I would remind everyone to Stay vigilant and be very careful when unusual things happen around your home at any & all hours. Remember your Safety and Security is your responsibility.

Earlier today my wife asked me a question that a family friend posted on facebook. Asking what was a good target Ammunition to use. While that seems like an easy (ALMOST) Irrelevant question to answer.As a firearms instructor. But there are a few things that have to be taken into consideration for a brand new gun owner or even someone that has guns but doesn't actually shoot very much... "WHICH IS THE VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE".... I wasn't trying to be evasive or difficult, but these are questions that if they go unanswered could effect a persons experience in a way that the person shooting may choose to put that gun away in storage & never pick that gun (or any gun) up again. So what I had my wife do, was to give her my number and asked her to call me. I hope She calls me so I can answer any questions she may have or give them any help I can provide.

This is a prime example of why Situational Awareness & being prepared for any emergency is so important in todays world. This is also one of the reasons I became a Certified firearms instructor & Security consultant.

This is a Glarlng example of just how upside down this world has become. Take it from someone that lived through the aftermath of a self defense shooting (ALBEIT NO ONE DIED, IT WAS MANY YEARS AGO, IN A STATE THAT ISN'T 2ND AMENDMENT FRIENDLY) This citizen even though he was only exercising his right to defend himself will at the very least. Have his life torn apart by authority's and the media for the forseeable futire.

There is a Antifa tweet making the rounds today concerning attacks in residential areas. I've recieved several tweets & phone calls from former students, Moms ...& Dads, concerned about the threat of attacks on residential areas. This is my response to my friends: The most powerful weapon terrorists have is fear. The tweet threatening residential attacks was most likely written by some adolescent coward in skinny jeans & sneakers hiding in his mothers basement. Do not give into fear. Get with your neighbors and family. Form a neighborhood watch group. Look out for each other and be situationally aware. If a watch group doesn't exist in your neighborhood ask your local police department how to start one. Terrorists will create violence in the areas where they can get the most attention. Locally, in Kansas City, that's why the violence started in the Plaza area. The violence will not choose a quiet cul-de-sac full of soccor mom's. Especially, if they choose to be so, armed soccor moms. Even more local, here in Independence, Missouri, the cowards will not be marching up my residential street. Rather, our local major thoroughfare, Noland Road, will be most likely be a potential staging area. I have been up & down Noland Road several times today, Sunday, and any protest activity was a big nothing burger. Nor, did I see any other suspicious activity such prestaging boxes of rocks or bricks. I'm sure the terrorists understand the suburbs are much stronger in their support of the 2nd amendment then some segments of the inner city. Do not be fooled by lofty threats issued by cowards. My family & I are taking our normal security precations. We will sleep well tonight. Tomorrow is supposed to be a beautiful day. God's Blessings to you all!
