We're jumping into Spring real estate and the market is still great!! I'm not going to say the C word, but I CAN assure you that it has had NO effect on the market I've got a few new buyers that are looking into HOA neighborhoods that have never lived in an HOA before, so I thought I'd jump on here for a little education...What is an HOA, and is it worth the cost? Let’s discuss. An HOA is a homeowners association (sometimes called a POA - property owners association...). It is a governing organization within a planned community that makes and enforces rules for the neighborhood and property owners. While it may seem restrictive to some, the HOA protects the value of the community and ensures a high level of care and quality in commons areas such as playgrounds, walking trails, pools, or clubhouses. Before buying a home in a neighborhood with an HOA, request a copy of the neighborhood covenants to make sure the cost is worth the benefits. Was this helpful??
