We're jumping into Spring real estate and the market is still great!! I'm not going to say the C word, but I CAN assure you that it has had NO effect on the market I've got a few new buyers that are looking into HOA neighborhoods that have never lived in an HOA before, so I thought I'd jump on here for a little education...What is an HOA, and is it worth the cost? Let’s discuss. An HOA is a homeowners association (sometimes called a POA - property owners association...). It is a governing organization within a planned community that makes and enforces rules for the neighborhood and property owners. While it may seem restrictive to some, the HOA protects the value of the community and ensures a high level of care and quality in commons areas such as playgrounds, walking trails, pools, or clubhouses. Before buying a home in a neighborhood with an HOA, request a copy of the neighborhood covenants to make sure the cost is worth the benefits. Was this helpful?? The house hunt is over! You’ve made an offer and it's been accepted. So what happens next? All transactions differ, but here’s what you can typically expect: 1.
