Just Wow! Audio wouldn’t work to play the National Anthem at tonight’s Waverly-Portsmouth West game. It got quiet and a little awkward then out of nowhere Ezekiel Brown’s dad Trenton steps up big time and sings with no mic, no music, just talent! Wow someone needs to sign this guy!

The Monarch Board of Directors is pleased to announce an exciting new youth competition, the MNC Youth Sportsman of the Year! See below for an overview of the ...program. More details will be available soon! Open to individuals age 17 and under. Title will be awarded to the competitor who has accumulated the most points by participating in the activities listed below. Points will be awarded for participation ONLY. The only mandatory activity will be the Essay, as it will be used to select the winner in the event of a numerical tie. Points are awarded to the individual ONLY. Once the American Saddlebred International Youth Program (ASIYP) has been completed, the points will carry over to the next year. Competitors may use multiple horses to earn points. The Top Ten individuals with the highest point totals will receive prizes and recognition. Scholarships will be awarded to the winner and runner-up. A win does not eliminate the individual from further competition. Activities to complete ‘On your own’: Equine Essay (mandatory for all competitors)25 pts. *Subject of essay will be announced July 1 on the Monarch website, MonarchShowSeries.com Participation in the American Saddlebred International Youth Program at ASIYP.org Completion of ASIYP Level I15 pts. Completion of ASIYP Level II20 pts. Completion of ASIYP Level III25 pts. Submission for the Monarch Youth Art Wall10 pts.
