"They always mess up! I'll just do it myself!" Who else has caught themselves saying this every now and again? This phrase is a scary pit to fall into, because it discourages collaboration. Collaboration allows us to get more done, and usually provides for better ideas than one person could have come up with alone. "But what's the point in collaborating if I end up having to do it myself anyway?!?" ... This type of attitude is very accusatory and not conducive to productivity. A better tactic would be trying to understand the people you are working with, what their motivations are, and how you can best work together to produce the best possible outcome for everyone! Communication in a team is critical to success. By communicating and genuinely trying to understand your team, you will get a much better response and be able to effectively collaborate, knowing where everyone can contribute.

BULLY PROOFING KIDS with AWARENESS! Encourage your students/KIDS to advocate for themselves and others. Teach them the difference between *tattling and *telling. *Tattling: when the motive is to get the other person in trouble. ... *Telling: When the motive is to get someone to stop hurting someone else. It’s ALWAYS okay to TELL and STAND for what is right

If at first you don’t succeed... TRY TRY AGAIN Everyone has heard this phrase, and probably said it a few times as well! BUT do you truly live it?... It’s so easy to give up when things get tough. What you need to remember it that the most rewarding things in life are typically the hardest to accomplish! When you put time and effort into something you believed was out of your reach, it’s an incredible feeling when you finally accomplish it! Being able to accept failure and move forward with that extra knowledge is not easy, but it is important! The only time you ever truly fail is when you quit... and remember that’s there’s always another approach you haven’t tried yet
