This week's Business Spotlight is: Wendy Dawns Clothing & More Visitors to the Patterson-Piedmont area along Hwy 34 have noticed that the Patterson area has inc...reased traffic pulling into the small community. Recently, Patterson has seen a boom in activity, primarily driven by the elevated community business development, including Southern Memories, the Patterson Community Center, and Wendy Dawn’s Clothing & More. At Wendy’s you will find freshly-made Deli sandwiches, Hunt Brothers Pizza, Chicken Wings, and Breakfast Sandwiches, and more. To quench your thirst, they offer fresh coffee, hot cocoa, cappuccino, and a wide assortment of beverages. Additionally, Wendy’s has groceries, propane tanks, Ellis batteries, and so much more. Wendy proudly proclaims that God has blessed me as a business owner of Patterson Market which is family based. I enjoy being a business of the community and meeting people from all walks of life who become a part of our family. I am very grateful for my customers and the community, if not for them I wouldn’t be in business. In the back of store they have an entire room with premium clothing, purses, shoes, baby/kids clothes, pictures, puzzles and even Tanning services. Because they have such a great selection of products and low prices, Wendy’s will also ship items out. As a result of their increased business presence, Wendy’s recently added a name for that side of the store called Wendy Dawn’s, so, that the community would realize they are so much more than just a market. A prime focus of Wendy’s is to offer items that customers need or want. Since there no longer is a local Walmart, they strive to supply the items that customers request to the best of their ability and make shopping easier so people can shop local. So, next time you’re cruising down Hwy 34, pull off on Hwy FF and check out all that Wendy Dawn’s Clothing & More has to offer.

This week's Business Spotlight is: Subway The story of the Subway brand started more than 50 years ago when Dr. Peter Buck, a nuclear physicist, changed the lif...e of a college student with a few simple words, Let’s open a submarine sandwich shop. It was Peter Buck that gave college freshman Fred DeLuca the idea to open a submarine sandwich shop to help pay his tuition. Peter provided an initial investment of $1000, and a business relationship was forged that would change the landscape of the fast food industry and the lives of thousands. The partners opened their first restaurant in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where they served fresh, affordable, made to order sandwiches. The popularity of the sandwiches and the brand continued to grow over the decades but one thing remained the same and that was their core values and principles: a) Always provide exceptional service to their valued guests; b) Provide the highest quality menu items at a price everyone can afford and enjoy; and c) Keep operating costs low and ensure to have great systems in place and never stop improving. Today, the SUBWAY brand is the world's largest submarine sandwich chain with more than 40,000 locations around the world. They’ve become the leading choice for people seeking quick, nutritious meal options that the whole family can enjoy. From the beginning, Subway has had a clear vision for the future of the SUBWAY brand. As they continue to grow, Subway is guided by a passion for delighting customers by serving fresh, delicious, sandwiches made-to-order right in front of you.
