Folks. Serious talk. We absolutely love what we do. The love affair with our customers, for our first 9 months, has been amazing. However, I need a break and these wonderful people that help me everyday deserve one too. We will be closed January 1st and will NOT reopen until Saturday January 16th. Video production: @brentnuro

You guys disserve a prettier photo but we are busy busy. We WILL open Sunday, Dec 27th. I'm not expecting a typical "line out the door" at 8am kind of Sunday. Everyone is full on leftover ham and quinoa loaf. However, the coffee will be bumpin and the dance music will be hot!

BHB will close Saturday the 26th as well as Christmas day. We need Saturday to prepare for a big Sunday return. #bakeryproblems Side note, thank you for making this a great, first, holiday season for Blackhole Bakery. Happy holidays. Please be safe!!

Trick or Treat? I used to toilet paper houses and I tossed my fair share of eggs but today, I'm team treat. All the way. Come visit BHB. We've got some of our favorite candy coated mochi donuts and treat bags for the kids. Costume or not. Don't be afraid.

There isn't a holiday that I miss more, than Halloween. Face paint, horror movies and unlimited sugar? Seriously folks. I really feel bad for the Covid kids of 2020. BHB will have treat bags for the kiddos on Saturday. You can count on 4 or 5 halloween candy inspired Mochi Donuts added to the lineup. Saturday only. Also, can we talk about that orange M&M on the second image?

Some finished chocolate croissant dough treats. Hazelnut Bearclaw and a "Brooklyn Blackout". Which is a choco dough, brownie batter filling with our black cocoa glaze. Today and tomorrow!

Did you know, you can replace 5 to 10% of the total flour weight of any recipe, with cocoa powder? For instance... Chocolate croissant dough! Cookies, muffins, pie crust, etc.

COVID free and feeling good! Back for normal hours this week. 7am to 2pm, Wed-Fri and 8am to 2pm, Sat & Sun. As always, we close early when we sell out so come early and come often. We miss everyone!

Great news so far. 5 for 5 negatives on initial tests results. I have consulted with the wonderful COVID nurses at St. Lukes to verify we are using the proper protocols, considering our timeline. Those of us that had direct contact will adhere to the 14 day quarantine rule for possible symptoms to kick in. We don't want a false negative scenario, on the off chance we tested too soon. I want to isolate my team that DID NOT have direct contact, from those that did. With that be...ing said, we are targeting Wednesday, Oct 21st. Fingers crossed. This gives us a really safe timeline. We'll take this time to sanitize from top to bottom and review all of our procedures. Thank you all for the prayers, kind words and good vibes.

The seemingly inevitable has happened to Blackhole Bakery. Members of our staff have recently come in contact with family that have tested positive for COVID19. The amount of contact is minor but can not be ignored. Our entire staff has tested or is in the process of testing. We will remain closed until the negative test results come back. We are all without symptoms. The family members symptoms have been minor and seem to be subsiding. I am thankful for this. Our crew and their families mean the world to us. This extends to our wonderful patrons. Please stay safe everyone. We will provide daily updates.

Last one and perhaps my new favorite. Sour plum! Inspired by the salty, tangy dried plum powder found in Hawaii (from China). This one says farewell to summer, with a kick.
