To our visitors and our community: Stay home and stay safe for now. We can't wait to welcome you again soon.
After consideration, the committee organizing Breakfast & Blooms has decided to cancel the event for this year. With the City/County on stay-at-home orders until April 24 and the historic sites closed until May 15, we decided this would not be the best time to try to plan a large gathering. Stay well!
On March 12, 2020 the City of Independence declared a State of Emergency. Out of an abundance of caution for the public health, the opening of our historic sites including the Bingham-Waggoner Mansion & Estate has been delayed until at least May 15, 2020. As this situation continues to evolve, we will share any changes or updates as soon as possible. You can find these on the City’s website atindep.us/coronavirus. Please call 816-461-3491 or email [email protected] for any questions. We will respond to your questions as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
Since we're having quite a bit of snow, I thought everyone would enjoy seeing two photos from an old Waggoner family album.
