If you know me at all, you know I can be a bit of a perfectionist. I love the details, and with wedding planning its so easy to get wrapped up in the details. Its my favorite thing to step back at the end of the day of the wedding day and look at the MESS!! That's right I said MESS, there's inevitably napkins on the ground, discarded drinks, candles that have burned out, maybe even a plates of half eaten cake. At that point those small details don't matter its the mood that ...you have created, are people laughing, dancing, or chatting it up with old friends. My point is even though its easy it get wrapped up in the details, at the end of the day its a small piece so don't stress! Make sure you take the time and create an environment where joy and laughter can take center stage and for goodness sake hire a planner who LOVES details to sweat the small stuff. See more

The holidays are for spending time with family. The one thing in our family that has remained consistent throughout the years is the time we spend with each other during the holidays. As our family has grown and we now all have family of our own, we’ve still made sure we can spend time with each other during the holidays. It was never about the gifts under the tree or the turkey on the table it was about the memories we made together. The games we played (Im still certain dad... cheats), the stories we’ve told 1,000 times, the giant lights grandma needed for photos, the Christmas pranks, and the most unbelievable competitive croquet you have ever seen. What a frustrating year it’s been, but now more then ever as I reflect on 2020 I’m thankful for family. We may not always see eye to eye but in the end we are there for each other. As I look at my little family foursome I hope those same things ring true for them in 20 years. These dishes were passed down from my Grandma and when I look at them I see memories that have withstood the test of time. That’s what wedding planning means to me, getting to help you create memories that will be talked about at family gatherings. Creating special moments, allowing you to spend time with your family, allowing you to be present. This year I am wishing you and your loved ones the best of holiday seasons and new year! Create the memories, live in the moment, laugh, love, be present, those are the things worth remembering about 2020. See more

Can I be honest here? I despise being cold. I am so excited about these high fall temps right now but heading into these next few months you can catch me bundled up, snuggling with my doggo, coffee in hand working on weddings, dreaming of warmer weather.

If this year has taught me anything it’s to be more aware, more compassionate, to be a bet...ter human being to others and that starts at home. Josh has been so supportive during this crazy time, from helping with set ups to wrangling kiddos so I could grab some extra sleep. I have no idea what I’d do without him. Guys crazy year right? I know we are all feeling it! Here we are gearing up for our first wedding of the year That’s right is October and we just now get to have our first wedding. Good news for this couple, it’s on the original day at the original venue so cue the excitement, but at the same time our heart breaks for every single couple that’s big day has been affected by COVID. The true joy of love brings a thousand tears...ok truth time, I don’t actually watch my couples ceremony. That’s almost always a job I delegate out...why because guys I can’t handle it!!! The moment someone tears up I’m done. It’s somewhat embarrassing but honestly I just love love and in those moments there’s just so much love I can’t hardly stand it! Double tap if you love love too

Let’s talk about wedding toasts!! Is it wrong to pick a bottle of champagne strictly for the artwork? Not when it’s a bottle this cute!! No judgement here, it was pretty tasty too! How are you choosing the champagne for your wedding?

Its so fun to stop and see where our couples are now. Throwback to Victoria and Sean who now have a sweet little boy and the most adorable twin girls born this March. Their little family is seriously just the cutest and they are about the bravest people I know 3 kiddos under 3. Double tap if you think so too!!

The view from here is looking pretty fabulous. I really love it when photographers get creative showcasing the decorations.You put so much time into crafting your day that of course you deserve photos of how it turned out. With all the set ups that we do we always leave it open for the bride and groom to walk in and see their reception prior to the guests because trust us it looks so different when the room is full of people. Guess WHAT its Friday Ya'll, I feel like most weekends theres something going on, even with COVID going on we have found ways to get creative and keep the celebrations rolling. This weekend we are super pumped to be planning and designing a Bridal Brunch. Stay tuned for photos and in the meantime comment below how you are celebrating the little things, you know like FRIDAYS

Being a wedding planner means I wear all sorts of hats on the wedding day: *Professional dress fluffer *Family member finder *Groomsmen wrangler *Wedding crasher security guard ... *Trash collector The list could go on but you get the point. Honestly though these are some of the things we love best about the wedding day. As I fluff the dress before the bride gets ready to walk down the aisle I get to witness those last moments that are just between the bride and her father. I would say 9/10 weddings have mischievous groomsmen and making sure those rascals stay on task till reception is always a handful. And at the end of the night as I sweep the tables I get to observe the dance floor and its so fun to watch the couple interact with their friends and family. Each hat is essential to the wedding day and while cleaning tables isn't necessarily at the top of my favorite planning tasks I still enjoy the opportunity it gives me to witness all the love and joy happening around me. C*A*K*E!!! What is your favorite kind of cake?!? Love the basic white wedding cake but every now and then we get a little crazy. We have seen all kinds of wedding cake: chocolate, strawberry, carrot, pumpkin, we've even had seaweed at a wedding!

After working retail for so many years, never having the holidays off we made the decision to save as many holidays for family as possible.
