Bolivar Golf Course

Hi everyone, it looks like we have a few windy...but warm days ahead! I hope to see you out here. A reminder we are here and the course is open on days the temps will reach above 45 degrees. Many days can feel GOOD ENOUGH to get outside and play golf with the sun shining and dressed accordingly.

Joe Cornell, Kenny Coffey, Charley Welch and myself traveled to Lake of the Ozarks this past week to play in the Clear Creek Club Car golf tournament held at Porto Cima Resort. The course architect is Jack Nicklaus, the club opened in 2000. It is a top notch champion level beautiful course and facility. It rained on us pretty good early in the round, but cleared up in the afternoon. We managed an -11 under par round which we were all very pleased with given the conditions and tuff course we played. A HUGE thank you from the Bolivar Golf Club to the staffs of Clear Creek and Porto Cima Resort for hosting this event!

This coming Monday October 19th, the golf course will not open until 10am due to scheduled maintenance on the course. Thank you BGC staff.

A brisk chill in the air this morning and some frost on the greens when I arrived at 7:30, keep in mind on cold mornings the frost needs to be off the greens before we can allow players on them. Men's league finals wrapped up earlier this month, I would like to congratulate everyone that participated this year on an outstanding job, it was a great time! In the senior division Kenny Coffey finished in 3rd place, Joe Cornell took 2nd and the winner of the senior division for 2020 is Frank Reed. Al Cornell is the 2020 winner in the 59 and under division. Great play gentlemen and congratulations!!

We will not allow any golfers on the course tomorrow after 3 pm. The SBU cross country meet will be taking place here tomorrow Friday September 25th. Thank you
