Snowflakes appear as delicate lace and others as stars. Did you know that ice collects around a particle of dust floating in the atmosphere? Imperfections in life can often be the catalysts that cause something wonderful to happen. "He has made everything beautiful in its time."
At the heart of the matter, it’s a matter of the heart. At Beth Haven Community, the health and wellness of the people of our community is our number one priority.
Questions for thought as you go throughout the rest of your week: What attitude do you think is at the core of the human tendency toward superstition? How are YOU tempted when it comes to assigning spiritual power to worldly things rather than focusing on Christ?
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Martin Luther King. Let's let love be our guiding light in this world where "for now we see through a glass darkly." 1 Corinthians 13:12
Beth Haven Nursing Home is home to those who need short or long-term care. For some, it’s a short stay while they rehabilitate following hospitalization. For others, it’s a decision to live here as a permanent resident because they need round the clock assistance, medical attention or security. Our entire facility is Medicare and Medicaid certified. Our primary care nursing program ensures that our staff care for the same resident and truly come to know their needs and desires.
At the nursing home today, our activities staff filled the building with carols for all. They even picked up a few extra voices to join in along the way. Jingle Bells filled the halls!
This week at Terrace apartments our staff collaborated to cook and deliver meals to all our residents in lieu of having our normal carry-in. The food was delicious and our residents were pleasantly surprised. Tis the Season!
John 3:17 But whoever has the world’s goods (adequate resources), and sees a brother or sister in need, but has no compassion for them, how does the love of God live in him?
Quiet Moments with God: For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. - Luke 12:34 A lady answered a knock at her door one day to find a man with a very downcast look on his face. Concerned, she asked, Can I help you? I’m sorry to disturb you, the man said, but I’m collecting money for an unfortunate family in the neighborhood. The husband is out of work, the kids are hungry, the utilities will soon be cut off, and worse, they’re going to be kicked out of ...their apartment if they don’t pay the rent by this afternoon. Of course. I’ll be happy to help, replied the woman with great concern. But who are you? The man looked her in the eye and said, The landlord. Like that landlord, the things you value will provoke you to action. If at the center of your values is your love for material wealth or desire to please people, then you’re going to make those things your main concern. But if you value Christ above all, everything else will pale in comparison. Let the cause of Christ be the main value of your life. You’ll know it is when the cause motivates your thoughts and actions above everything else! See more

A cheerful heart is good medicine and a joyful mind causes healing but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.- Proverbs 17:22
Attitude matters. When you’re fighting tough battles in life and it’s hard to see a way forward, the attitude you have during the struggle will most certainly determine how it affects you. This isn’t just emotional. Your attitude can affect you both mentally and physically.
During these uncertain times, please know that you are not alone. Show your loved ones that you care by getting in touch. You never know how much a phone call could mean.
Prayer Challenge: Pray that God would give you a steadfast trust in Him so that when the unexpected happens, you’ll trust in His direction.
Life is full of pressure situations times when it’s tempting to overreact and do something drastic out of fear. But just like those Apollo astronauts, it’s important to ask ourselves, Am I still flying in the right direction? Am I still doing God’s will? If the answer is yes, then there’s no need to panic. We simply address our issues one-by-one and stay on course.
Compassion is demonstrating love and concern in our relationships, serving one another with grace, humility, gentleness and sensitivity in a manner which respects diversity and honors the dignity and worth of everyone.
In continuance of Christ’s mission we promote quality living in a safe secure environment for each individual. We are committed to provide long term care and independent living services as an expression of Christian ministry. We are a supportive community where Christian values are integrated into daily living. We provide Christian witness of God’s love to assist individuals in facing life’s experiences victoriously.
