Callaway Hills Stable 10.01.2021

Didn’t intend to be missing in action for so long. Know it’s been a tough year for many. So instead of filling you in on my latest challenges, I was determined to post at least one happy holiday greeting. I’m starting the new year with warm thoughts & prayers for all who still visit this page. (photo of Shawn Stachowski & Callaway’s Gelato)

Sharing, despite lack of quality baby pics! So fond of Callaway’s Don’t Blink, we did an embryo transfer before she was sold in 2014. (Farm photo, Carson, up, taken earlier that yr) Decided to keep the resulting foal as a broodmare. This is her first daughter.

Intent on getting more photos of our small group of 2020 foals- Granted not great pic, 1/2 of it, the mare’s rear! Yet, a pretty filly, with nice neck as confirmed by shadow. Then realized tho’ taken at just a few days old, she’s 1 of only 2 I’ve already posted! So, merely extra proof our underbred old man, Gipper, continues to sire nice babies!

Ended legal battle with Central Electric. Covid-19 made it unlikely we’d get a trial date before winter. Frankly, I couldn’t last that long. Attempting to generate income in these most challenging times, had me stressed to the max. Settled for amount submitted by court-appointed commissioners. Translates to some catching up & about 2 months operating expenses. Still can’t seem to take nice foal photos, but here’s proof we do have a few new kids!

Below are 2 pages I gave the commissioners to show Callaway Hills’ 3 generations of continuous family ownership. (Only to learn the farm had no Heritage Value since it included acres purchased in the ‘80’s!) I thought some of you might enjoy the photos.
