It's Giant Swan Season! Last one!

I have a last minute item for Labor Day Weekend.

Trailside General Store is now open for the season. More merchandise arriving each day. I have crappie shiners, gold fish, beer and ice .

Due to a death in the family, Trailside General Store will be closed until further notice.

Trailside General Store is open for the season ! I was hoping for better weather for opening weekend but the beer has been delivered, the snagging and fishing supplies are stocked so it's time to get the season started.

So here we go, finally going to have a Crappie spawn season on Truman Lake. If you only get to fish a few times a year, this is your time. We open at 6:30 am and close at 7 during the week and stay open till dark on Friday and Saturday night. Oh, and don't forget, you will need a fishing license !! Stop by and get a license and your fishing supplies. Stay safe.

Crappie are being caught on or near the banks at Berry Bend. Some as deep as 6 foot and some as shallow as 2 feet. Mostly males. Lake level this morning is 707.75 should be a perfect spawn!

Lake level this morning is 711.48, going down about 6 inches per day. Just a quick reminder, after April 15th you will need a fishing permit, the free fishing ends on the 15th.

I have 4 of these left. They are perfect for a Turkey blind or someone fishing from the bank. They are $ 11.99 ea.

Not nearly enough, but if anyone wants to stand 6 feet away from me and watch me eat these later you are welcome to.

We are open here at Trailside, and the Berry Bend boat ramp remains open. Truman Lake level is at 716.37 and 30,000 cubic feet per second is being released, mostly through the generators. Please practice the Coronavirus safeguards, stay 6 feet apart, no group gatherings of 10 or more and wash your hands(they probably smell like fish anyway). See you at the lake.

Truman Lake level at 9:00 this morning is 717.21 and they are releasing a total of 47,000 cubic feet per second, 29,000 through the turbines and 18,000 through the spillway.

Well the rain is over at least for now, fish are biting. Lake level at 9:00 is 717.59 and they are running water through the generators and some through the gates.

Ken Simily caught this nice Blue this morning at Berry Bend. 58 pounds.

Courtesy docks got pulled out at Berry Bend today, but the ramp is open. Truman Lake elevation this morning is 715.71 and they were releasing 33,000 cubic feet per second through the generators.
