Double duty for this next project!

It’s hard not being with these kids and making music with them. But, this year’s legacy will live on! Flockappella did an amazing job recording some material earlier this semester, and I’m incredibly excited to share it with you all very soon. #acappella

Congratulations on your two year wedding anniversary, Mrs. Savannah Gibbons Fernelius!! I was honored to record this beautiful cover of Songbirds. I still remember it playing as you walked down the isle... not a dry eye in the house. I put together this little slideshow as a small wedding gift for you to keep and cherish. Thank you again for allowing me to be a small part in your big day!

How has it already been six weeks since I’ve seen these wonderful people?! So much has happened since our recording weekend with the Missouri Choral Artists. It’s been THERAPEUTIC revisiting these tracks. A light in the dark. Thank you, John Tyler McDonald, for sharing your artistic vision with me that weekend. And also thank you to Kelly Garrison for trusting me with this opportunity. This is by far some of the best work I’ve been a part of, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone soon!

Five months ago today! Visitation Parish was such a beautiful venue to house the Missouri Choral Artists this past summer. I’m so anxious to share these recordings under the direction of the incomparable Dr. R Paul Crabb!

On the road again! I like to go through and check over the equipment before heading out for a big week of recording. It gives me time to focus, to energize, and to create a vision for the project ahead of me. This time it’s super exciting to work with my BRAND NEW computer! All set-up and ready to go just in time as we tour with the Missouri Choral Artists this week!

It’s Christmas in July!! This next work is truly a most mystical piece of sacred music. This text was written by John Buxton in 1940 while he was a prisoner of war in Bavaria. You can hear how Herbert Howells’ recreation of Christ’s birth brings on a new transendental world. (St. Francis Xavier even added her own touch to the end ) Check out this recording of Long, Long Ago, performed by the Missouri Choral Artists
