Saturday afternoon at Faust Park- 80 degree weather made for a beautiful fall'ish day and perfect for a family photo session! When this family shows up, they SHOW UP! I've known Angela for 7'ish years and she's always been known for her style and fashion, so I'm not gonna lie.. I was dying to see what everyone was going to be wearing... a photographer's dream!! But beyond the clothes, when I step behind the camera lens, I get a glimpse of the family I'm photographing. Let m...e just say something about this family, they have a love, respect and bond for each other that cannot be broken! What a legacy that truly is! Angela, what can I say? I've worked with you for 7 years, or is it 8 now? In that time you've been my boss, my mentor, my sounding board and my friend. Your daughters demonstrate the same confidence and strength as you. Mr. Blackshear, thank you for sharing some of your family history with me. Your father was truly an amazing man! I was happy and felt it was a privilege to capture these moments for such an amazing family! Angela, one request, though...next time bring an extra pair of shoes ENJOY YOUR SESSION TEASERS!!! If you want to tag anyone in your family or share, feel free to do so! They're your photos! Just please tag me or Bequette Photography when you do is appreciated

LET ME INTERUPT YOUR EVENING WITH SOME AMAZING ENGAGEMENT SESSION TEASERS!!!! I was so excited when Maddie asked me if Mike and I could do the engagement session for her and Caleb! It was pretty cold and windy...but it didn't seem to bother them at all! They were so in the moment of enjoying the session and the experiencing another part of the journey along their engagement that they didn't seem to notice! So the session started out like a normal session and with a lot of l...aughs, then we moved into some "trust you partner" exercises which aren't pictured here but will be later....dips and piggy back rides with Maddie having to trust Caleb to not drop her!!...lol... From there we moved into: conquering fears (exploding champagne bottles...or not so much exploding), and uniting together in the face of unknowns (car stopping in the middle of the road watching our street poses and generally being in the way) and they got through it fine! I'd say they have what it takes for a successful marriage! All joking aside....if you are around these two for 5 minutes and cannot feel the love and respect they have for each other, you might need to check your pulse. Maddie and Caleb, it was truly an honor and blessing to share in this occasion with you. I love the way you make each other laugh and the kind ways you encourage one another. Mike and I wish you both many many years of happiness! See more

"The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate." We were asked to meet Marilyn at Forest Park to do a photo session for her to celebrate her birthday. I've learned to step back and give people the freedom to express themselves in the sessions and allow them to tell their story. So who is Marilyn? She is FIERCE! She is full of kindness, joy and confidence! She lives life with a celebratory spirit! She is genuine and authentic, the kind of... person others want to be around! Marilyn, we enjoyed this session so much and we truly hope we can work with you again!! Enjoy the session teasers and we are looking forward to having your final edits completed and to you soon!! ~Mike and Stacy
