This week, this Belton School District #124 student is headed to class in a comfortable, brand new pair of shoes - ones that fit his growing feet, something he was really in need of. DID YOU KNOW that our Pirate Pantry, in addition to providing weekend food supplies for children in need, also stocks a limited supply of clothing items, including shoes? If you're able to help us in "TAKING STEPS" to meet SHOE NEEDS, we'd love for you to get involved! We received incoming Pirate Pantry food donations recently and in turn, have had some great student volunteers from Belton School District #124's Life Academy program help us organize them in our pantry. They did a great job and we just wanted to share this example of student community service in action! Thank you, students! Today we want to give a SHOUT OUT to the Loch Lloyd community for teaming up with us to support Belton School District #124 Pirate Pantries with their food collection drive which runs through Feb. 1. Last week, we received a first delivery of grocery bags full of items such as these, to help stock our pantry shelves. We accept food and monetary donations year-round to support this vital program if you'd like to become involved, too!
