(From the Jazz Forward Initiative page) Attention all who wish to attend the 2021 Mo Jazz Music Festival. The Festival is still a GO! It will take place Saturday, September 11 in Rose Park at Rose Music Hall, 1013 Park Ave. in Columbia, Missouri. But due to an increase in health safety concerns, Rose Music Hall has implemented new requirements which must be adhered to to gain entry to the event. This new protocol applies to ALL WHO WISH TO ATTEND; patrons, volunteers, st...aff, crew, MUSICIANS. Below is a copied portion of the email that Jazz Forward Initiative (JFI) received from Rose Music Hall that explains the new protocol. "As you may have seen, we recently announced that as of September 6th we are requiring all fans to provide PRINTED proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event OR full vaccination for entry to all events at both venues. As such, I wanted to make sure it was clear that this policy also applies to band/crew members. This means that, when the bands arrive for load-in, each band and crew member must provide a printed copy of their vaccination card or negative COVID-19 test (taken within the last 72 hours). Anyone who does not have one of these will not be allowed in the venue." Rose is requiring PRINTED copies of either of these two documents to gain entry. Digital copies (e.g. photos of documents on your phone) are NOT ALLOWED. Please be sure to have one of these two documents with you at the gate. And another group to perform at the 2021 Mo Jazz Music Festival is a Kansas City group named "Tenor Talk." Two of the members are bassist Sam Copeland and tenor sax player Max Levy . Here's a clip from one of their previous gigs for Jazz Forward Initiative, Inc., back in 2017.
