Just a shout out to all. I just got off the phone with a product manager for a major bike company. He was relaying a horrendous situation to me regarding availa...bility of bikes. At the on set of covid last spring most bike dealers thought the availability issue would resolve in the fall. Well that didn't happen and in fact it's getting way worse. We are now seeing key models sold out for 2021 model year which we aren't even into yet. If you or anyone you know is looking for a bike get a deposit on your choice ASAP. We are now seeing orders canceled and it's only going to get worse. This is not just an issue with one company but industry wide. As I stated yesterday, Santa Cruz isn't even taking orders anymore on ANYTHING. The widely popular Giant Trance -x is sold beyond production capability and has been sold out. Niner is waiting on components and is expecting to be sold completely out this spring. Higher end product is going to be the most affected since production numbers are generally lower to start with. Update, just wanted to let everyone know, our team member is recovering well from Covid. And we are back open! We will however have to mandate mask usage in the... shop.
