Baker's Academy of Martial Arts

Our academy is in our 34th year .. one of the oldest in southeast missouri. I'm proud of the milestone. Proud to still be a part of every class, to continue to train, and to maintain standards handed down for generations. Our training teaches respect and discipline, something not all academies do. I'm proud to require our students to learn the history behind our academy. Most of all, I am proud of our students of all ranks and thankful to have each one in our "family".

Great way to start off the New Year. . . Seeing our students back in action Welcome our new student Jasper. We presented some well earned promotions and more coming soon. Great work Anna, Adam, Brooke and Jennifer.

HAPPY NEW YEAR Each year I like to take a look back as well as a look ahead. Looking back 2020 was a year that upended our lives and forced our communities to adapt on the go. For the first time in over 30 years, the academy had to close it's doors for nearly 6 weeks. It wasn't easy, but we survived. ... On the positive side, we added new faces to our martial arts family, had success at the very few tournaments we attended, saw students earn new rank and added a new black belt to our roster. We also exceeded our goal for Project: Merry Christmas. In the New Year I will work hard to make sure each of you rises to your potential. I want to do a better job teaching and sharing. Sometimes I talk too much. I can do better, and I will. I want to give the academy a face lift. . .and keep it a great place for you to train. I want you to be proud of the academy. THANK YOU for all of the support you give thru the year. Let's look ahead to a bright and successful new year.
