Meet Edie..this exceptionally cool 17 year old oncology patient likes marine biology, animal science, rocks and crystals and painting. She really liked everything in her bag of fun especially her new rabbit hat that she asked for! Thanks to John and Marny Sherman for bringing her #joylaughterandrelief while in treatment!

Meet Jaeden. He is 11. Likes Harry Potter, science, legos, fortnight, and llamas. He is inpatient fighting Ewings Sarcoma. His mom said he loves everything in his bag of fun and we can tell by his smiles! Thank you Bonnie and Keith Connell for bringing him #joylaughterandrelief and hours and hours of the #powerofplay!

Vivian is 5. She was scared to go to chemo today. But mom said her bag was filled with all of her favorite things it fit her perfectly and brightened her day! It looks like she is actually having FUN! Way to go Vivian! Thank you to Sue Hill Holder and family for sponsoring her bag of fun!

These 8th graders at Cure of Ars School chose us for their service project! They did a little research, then raised money to sponsor two bags of fun for kids in the hospital. Some raked leaves, some gave birthday money, some did chores and babysat. We need more kids like them! This is Zyaire. He was really having a bad reaction to his treatment when we delivered a few weeks ago but now is really enjoying his baby Einstein play table and other toys from his bag of fun. We are happy to see him out of his hospital bed playing! #joylaughterandrelief #powerofplay

Sophia was having a really hard morning in clinic but has been playing non stop since she got her bag of fun! She normally sleeps after chemo but is smiling, playing, and in good spirits! We had no idea 8 years ago when Madison Cowherd Martin was doing her senior service project for Bags of Fun KC that she would know first-hand one day how much joy a bag brings. We also did not know that American Century Investments would spondor a bag for one of thier own families. But $hit happens. Madison is now a NICU nurse Lebonheur Children Hospital and is battling leukemia. So- we shipped some #joylaughterandrelief to Madison and her family! We her quote that you are never to old for a bag of fun!

This is Serenity. She is 10. She is inpatient awaiting a bone marrow transplant. She likes cats, doing hair and nails, and painting. Even though she will be inpatient for weeks, she is all smiles thanks to her bag of fun! Thanks to BMA Foundation for bringing her #joylaughterandrelief

We got an update on Brooklyn...mom said she wasn’t feeling well, had a reaction from her meds and had to be admitted...now that she is feeling better the first thing she asked for was her bag of fun! She is currently putting together her lego sets. This bag has brought her so much joy and couldn’t have come at a better time! Keep smiling Brooklyn!!

Meet boss baby Zyaire. He is 13 months. He has not been feeling well while inpatient and ended up having an unexpected surgery, but his lovie from his bag of fun is bringing him some comfort! This is Brooklyn. She is 8 and really likes crafts, legos, slime, cats, and playing school. Mom said yesterday was a tough day...chemo and lumbar puncture really wiped her out...getting her bag was such a great surprise! And it looks like her snuggly cat pillow gave her some comfort on the way back home! Thx to Bob and Marie Neenan for her bag of fun!
