We will be hosting a Car Seat Safety Event on Saturday, October 10th, 2020. Car seats are essential to keep all of our children safe! Damaged, expired, or improperly installed car seats can endanger your child. We will offer safety instructions on how to make sure you are keeping your little ones secure. This week is Diaper Needs Awareness Week. With the financial stress the COVID-19 pandemic put on families, our numbers have skyrocketed over the last 6 months. In September alone, our location served 127 families, providing diapers for 177 children. We gave out a total of 8,830 diapers! We are completely supported by your donations! To buy the diapers and wipes needed for 1 month we would spend about $2200! So we need you to help us meet the amazing amount of need we h...ave. We can accept monetary donations, donations of diapers and wipes (especially larger sizes-4,5, and 6), and gift cards to Costco or Walmart. We are so grateful to all the donors and volunteers we have who have helped us get this far. We hope we can find more support to help us continue to help these families! Did you know? **1 in 3 American families reports experiencing diaper need. **5 million children in the U.S. aged three or younger live in poor or low-income families. **Infants require up to 12 diapers per day, toddlers about 8. **Disposable diapers can cost $70 to $80 per month per baby. **No state or federal child safety-net program allocates dollars specifically for the purchase of diapers. **Without transportation, buying diapers at a convenience store rather than a large big box store can significantly increase the monthly cost of diapers. **Most childcare centers, even free and subsidized facilities require parents to provide a day’s supply of disposable diaper

We will be hosting a clothes closet on Saturday, September 12th. We are looking for volunteers to help us set this up and help families the day of the event.
