After a dozen years in the River Market, the owner of BabyCakes cupcakery has put the business up for sale (including recipes, fixtures, equipment and a 3-year ...lease). The shop also could be relocated and the space subleased. Laura Caron said she has exchanged financials with two interested parties. But she will continue to own and operate BabyCakes if she can’t find a new owner who meets her vision and standards.

As we wrap up our first day of shooting the new bake shop menu, I had to share the first custom order to leave shop! . Stay tuned for more sneak peaks of what’s to come and follow along @sweetpetiteskc.

I am thrilled to announce that I am the new owner of this darling little bake shop that we all know and love. While the name will change to Sweet Petites KC, the cupcakes and cakes will remain the same with a few additions, to include my cookies. . Goodbye KC. Thanks for the memories! 13 years as your favorite cupcake place has come to an end. We will be open tomorrow from 10 am until we run out; Walk-ins ONLY, cash preferred. Look for new ownership in July!! And check out their options for cakes, cupcakes, and other treats! Thanks!!

UPDATE!!!! HE CAME HOME!! He was laying on the back deck this morning. Thank all for all your help and messages checking on us. Please help....Harvey got o...ut of the fence Wednesday night. If they gates are not strapped shut he will go for an evening walk. We didn't realize the gate was not locked. He always comes back within 12 hours, but he didn't this time. Any help is appreciated. Easter Up!! Cake pops, itty bitty square cakes and all kinds of Easter decorations, available Friday and Saturday!

We will be open our regular hours all week so if you find yourself off work on Good Friday stop by and say hi! We will have pastel decorations on everything in the case and some will feature speckled eggs for Easter weekend.
