Our rescue dogs got a special treat for Halloween thanks to a donor who sends little holiday care packages. Most of the dogs gobbled them up. The 2 new breeder release dogs have no idea what treats are and sniffed the treats but wouldn’t eat them. Soon they’ll have this treat thing figured out! 2 new breeder release dogs came in today. The black and white one is a mess :( I think he’s a boy. The white one is a girl and she is more scared of touch. They both need names and we need about $600 to cover grooming/vetting. Can anyone help? No more breeding for these guys! No more neglect. First found as a stray in the country, then owners located, and now part of our rescue. Everyone welcome Wylie! He’s a 2 year old Shepherd/Malamute mix. We are just getting to know him. He’s gorgeous and loves the girl dogs so far please no bashing of his owners, they understand that he needs more training/exercise than they could give and were willing to let him get that help and a home that can handle him.

Always the saddest part of rescue/owning a pet...the dreaded when is it time? decision. On Friday Sassy was let go surrounded by her forever foster family and today we had to let Bubbles go. We truly love our vets and we are so grateful that even during these Covid times they will let us be with our dogs during the euthanasia. Thank you to those who donated to help cover these expenses. Sassy was a sweet brindle and white pit bull mix that was in and out of shelters for y...ears. We took her in and Haley fell in love. Haley and her family gave Sassy years of love and spoiling. We are so sorry for their loss. Bubbles lived to be nearly 17 years old. She was a shy dog with strangers and kind of aloof even with people she knew. The staff at the vet office were amazing. They got us in quickly and she went very peacefully. Thank you Renfro Veterinary Services, Inc..
