Automatic ICE Systems’ semi-automatic model SA2 is the perfect solution for medium-size packaged ice producers. This industry proven palletizing machine is a cost-effective way to automatically stack ice packages on pallets for storage and delivery. This machine only requires one operator to remove the finished pallet from the stacking chamber and insert an empty pallet in its place. While the operator manually changes pallets, stacking operations continue uninterrupted in the other stacking chamber. This model features an all new, custom engineered electronic control and integration system utilizing proven Allen Bradley components. This new control platform is much more reliable, productive, and user friendly than previously offered semi-automatic palletizing platforms.

Poly Resin/Film Prices COVID-19 Impacts: Ice bag and roll film pricing continue to escalate in price, while manufacturing lead-times increase. If your company anticipates needing more packaging in 2020, please plan your purchases as early as possible. The following is a market update from our partner manufacturer for ice packaging products: The Covid-19 pandemic has completely changed the business landscape. The shutdown of many businesses, mixed and uncoordinated respons...es to the pandemic, and human nature, have conspired to create a mess. The results have led to high demand for food, medical, and agricultural products, and no demand for many other products. Food related packaging remains in demand. Keeping customers supplied is a challenge exacerbated by work-at-home, reduced rail traffic resulting in reduced rail service, and tighter resin supplies. Polyethylene producers have responded with higher prices - $0.04/Lb June1, $0.05/Lb July1, and announcements are flying for another $0.05/Lb August 1. The last increase announcement is based on tight supplies, strong export activity, and production interruptions planned and not. We will implement the July 1 increase with all new orders beginning July 27. Any further changes will be communicated as soon as information becomes clear. Shade’s expertise in refrigeration and mechanical utility systems is what brought him to AIS, and his knowledge and skill set are a welcome addition to Automatic ICE Systems’ top-notch engineering team. According to Thomas, My passion is delivering a streamlined project to our customers. I enjoy working with all the stakeholders to capture and implement the needs of the plant owner, as well as the operators and maintenance team.
