The 2019 Aurora High School Holiday Showcase is set for Thursday, December 12 at AHS, 305 W. Prospect in Aurora, Missouri. You won't want to miss it! Among the activities planned include: --A silent auction with unique items for those on your Christmas shopping list.... --A-Tech trash to treasure items available in exchange for donations. --A Paddle-Party in the Black Box for the Rotary Youth Exchange Program. --Baked Items for the Spanish Club trip. --Local authors signing and selling their books. --Girls Basketball action going on in the gymnasium. --A full-fledged concession stand being operated by the Athletic Boosters. --The collection of gently used coats, hoodies, gloves, socks, caps and sweaters for Bright Futures' DRESS WARM DECEMBER. --The collection of non-perishable food items, hygiene products, lotions, socks, gloves, gift cards, caps and books for local Veterans' baskets. *Additional proceeds for the evening will be earmarked for the adoption of local families for the Christmas season.

A-Tech I and II classes at Aurora High School are interdisciplinary in nature and allow for a variety of service projects in the Aurora area. A-Tech I focuses on a makerspace approach to service and A-Teach II/Leadership will be supervising the silent auction items. The Annual Holiday Showcase is designed to serve as a community platform of service for the holidays. ... Proceeds are earmarked for local families and veterans needing a boost of help and support at Christmas. Instructors are: Shawn Hines and Kim McCully-Mobley. Other classes, organizations and committees are encouraged to jump on board and "showcase" their work in celebratory fashion.
