'Twas the Night Before Christmas at Augusta and Montelle... the staff were rejoicing the wine tasted swell! The Vidal Blanc, Norton, Vignoles, and Chardonel, Seyval Blanc, Vintage Port, so many to sell. They served through the year with smiles on their faces,... in hopes that their customers would think they're just aces! Good service, good food, great wine, what a view?! At the end of the year, what's an elf to do? They wrap up the gifts for those that are here, they ship lots of wine to those not so near. They hope that their customers know that they care, thankful for all of the moments that were shared. Every visit, every tasting, every bottle that was sold supports small business and local families young and old. We've learned to keep close all those we hold dear. True Midwest Colors Shining Through! The reds, yellows, and orange hues of a Midwest Autumn are in full display along Hwy 94. This week will be peak for leaf-peeping, as they call it. Be safe out there! If you tend to let your eyes wander to the scenery, designate a driver the next couple weeks as the roads will be busy with others who enjoy the gorgeous colors of Fall. Things to know for your visit this season: We are following protocols for Covid prevention so please kee...p in mind our limit of 10 people per group when gathering friends and family to celebrate Autumn in wine country. Our tasting room has a limited capacity. Visit during the week or before 1pm on weekends if you'd like to avoid the crowds and get straight to the tasting bar. You're welcome to bring your own food AND your own blankets or chairs for social distanced seating on our lawn when the patio is full. Didn't plan a picnic? No problem! Our Wine & Beer Garden is still serving fresh baked pizzas, pretzel bites with cheese, baguettes with olive oil or butter on Saturdays and Sundays. A variety of cheese, salami, and snacks are available daily in our tasting room. See more
