Please share ------- Here's a little message to carry with your over the upcoming weeks: It's late September in Mid-Missouri. This part of the world, especially... Audrain County, relies on Ag as a staple in the economy, and harvest will soon be in full swing. That brings equipment onto the road that is wide, long and heavy with generally poor visibility from the cab. As a motorist myself, I know folks get impatient because this equipment is slow moving and it's just "terribly inconvenient" to have to drive slower than normal. As someone who takes part in Ag related endeavors, I've actually had folks pass me in the road ditch on the right at 40ish MPH while I was running machinery down a black top because the road wasn't wide enough to pass. Behavior like this is dangerous, and your 3000 pound car or 5000 pound pickup truck just ain't going to stand up to 80,000 pounds of heavy machinery in a crash. Please be observant of machinery, and slow down and be safe and courteous. The life you save may be your own. Sheriff Matt Oller
