On Saturday, October 31, 2020, the Instituto Bíblico de las Asambleas de Dios in Equatorial Guinea commemorated its 14th graduation ceremony. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the graduation was held four months late. Although the school year did not go as smoothly as planned, by God’s grace they were able to complete everything and hold the graduation ceremony. They had a total of eight candidates who graduatedtwo more than last year! For the first time in the history of the school, the preacher was an alumnus of the school, Rev. Sunday Chima Ukpai, who graduated in 2015. Please pray with us for these graduates and their families, and pray for this wonderful Bible school as they continue to train church leaders in Equatorial Guinea. #agwmafrica

Instituto Bíblico de Angola (IBA) is a three-year, diploma-level Assemblies of God Bible school that was started in the mid-to-late 1980s in Cacuaco, a suburb of Luanda, Angola. Over the years IBA has seen hundreds of pastors trained for ministry, which has created a desperate need for college-level theological educationhence the birth of Faculdade Teológica da Assembleia de Deus Pentecostal (FATAD), their advanced diploma and degree program that now operates on the same cam...pus as IBA. FATAD has seen tremendous growth and currently has 375 students enrolled at its main campus in Cacuaco, with another 230 enrolled at its extension in Huambo. With the creation of FATAD and an increasing number of its BA graduates [who could serve as teachers for IBA], explained AGWM missionary Harry Osland, director of FATAD, it became possible for IBA to expand its offerings, decentralizing education and allowing more regional, provincial, and even mother church IBA extensions. FATAD has become the source of qualified teachers and administrators for these schools and has facilitated the growth of other lower-level training programs, making solid biblical and theological education available throughout the country. As a result of this collaboration, IBAwhich still offers both day and night schools at its main campusnow has extensions in the provinces of Lunda Norte, Lunda Sul, Bié, Huambo, Benguela, five extensions in Cuanza Sul, and four more extensions in the greater Luanda area. There are 15 extensions in all, plus the original school in Cacuaco, with a total of approximately 400 students enrolled. The extensions are all self-supporting now, with no funds coming from IBA. To the contrary, portions of student fees are sent to IBA, which in turn supplies required course materials for the extensions.

The administrative team at eSwatini College of Theology is implementing an ambitious new plan to grow their diploma-level extension training program, which already has 90 students enrolled in seven extensions. In spite of the pandemic, in May they opened a new training center in Manzini, a major, centrally-located city. The enrollment of that extension doubled in only a few weeks, and is now running 50 students in three different classes. Two more extensions were opened in smaller towns in June, each starting with 10 students, bringing the total number of students in their extension program to 160. They also have 45 bachelor's degree students at the main campus. Plans are now in place to open another two extension sites in Augustone in Mbabane, the capital city.
