Ok so I have seen a few times a petition for people sign about letting hairdressers work: here are my feelings, I would love to hear yours. (I will be going back when we are allowed to, I am just curious). Right now looks to be May 4th. Hairdressers are not essential, but very much missed. Cons:... 1. Cutting hair with gloves takes our sense of touch. If we can even find gloves. 2. A lot of salons have chairs that are closer than 6 ft. 3. We work in a space that is only allowed to be in by medical professionals, loved ones, and us. Putting our loved ones and other customers at risk no matter how you cut it. 4. People will lie and come in sick! It happens ALL THE TIME! Pros: 1. We can get back to servicing the customers we love and miss. 2. Money, let’s be honest, that’s a big part of this. 3. A sense of normalcy, whatever that is these days. I MISS YOU ALL!! BE WELL

Update: While as your hairdresser and friend I feel essential, according to the stay home order I am not. I will not be in the salon until May (hopefully). I will keep you all posted. Stay safe and stay healthy!!

So, I realize I am the one of very few salons that have closed in our area. I have so much respect for a lot of the ladies that do this job around here. I just feel taking a few weeks off to socially distance our selves isn’t a bad thing. *We work in people’s PERSONAL SPACE! Family(some), Medical professionals, and hairdressers. **Will it be tight when I return? Yes! ***Will I have had some customers leave because I wasn’t available? I hope not, but honestly probably. If y...ou can’t or don’t want to wait on me message me I will help find you a trustworthy option. No hard feelings. ****Would I forgive myself if people I have formed bonds with over the last 16 years got ill and couldn’t fight it, but they knew the risk and came anyway? The answer is NO! ***** Missouri went from 6 to 15 cases in 24 hours, just for some solid information. So the salon will continue to be closed next week as well. The plan is to return March 30th. I love my customers and my heartbreaks for this situation. The ones I have scheduled, I will be in touch tomorrow. Ashley
