PLUS 2 OTHER MAJOR CELEB BROADWAY GUESTS TO BE ANNOUNCED!! Past guests include Megan Hilty, Shoshana Bean, Alex Newell, Telly Leung, Taylor Louderman, Ariana DeBose, Alice Ripley, Alex Brightman, Stephanie Block, Tituss Burgess, Annaleigh Ashford and more. Our three main teachers bios are below. LIVE IN PERSON IN STL AT CHARMETTE ACADEMY OF DANCE Musical Theatre Mayhem is a fun upbeat triple threat experience. We provide intensive learning and connections in an ever-changing business. MTM is fun for all ages(8 years to Pre-Professional). We aim to provide a safe and challenging environment to explore your craft and make priceless connections in an ever evolving business. Our three main master teachers will be live in the room with the students. We will also bring in two or three major Broadway celebrities virtually for a Q&A mentorship. We will have classes in Acting, Vocal Audition Prep, Improv and all Styles of Dance. We will have students of various levels and ages. Students will be separated into groups based on age and level. We have students from ages 8 to Pre-Pro. 3 lucky students will win the opportunity to make their NYC debut in Ben Cameron's weekly hit cabaret show, Broadway Sessions!! Saturday will be the Singing/Acting day. We will split the students up into small group sessions. Each session will include and acting and audition prep component. The students will be asked to sing 32 bars or one minute of their favorite song for constructive workshopping. Sunday.. We DANCE, DANCE, DANCE! PLUS CELEB TALK BACKS! Ideally we would have three rooms going. We split the students by ability for Sunday so that everyone has an opportunity to shine and be challenged. We also do 4 a la cart classes on Sunday for those that want a more intense experience. Nikki Snelson is a director, choreographer and actress working on Broadway and beyond for the last 20 years. As an actress, Ms Snelson is most recognized for her performance of Brooke Wyndam in the original Broadway and MTV cast of LEGALLY BLONDE. Snelson originated the role of Winnie Tate in the Broadway revival of ANNIE GET YOUR GUN (starring Bernadette Peters). She was also seen on Broadway in SWEET CHARITY (starring Christina Applegate). Nikki played "Cassie" in the National Tour of A Chorus Line and also performed in the Broadway National Tours of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, SHOW BOAT, HELLO, DOLLY, and Jonathan Larson's TICK TICKBOOM(Susan). Snelson originated the role of The Mad Hatter in Frank Wildhorn's Wonderland. Nikki played Velma in CHICAGO at Maine State Theater and Sally Bowles in CABARET at The Napa Valley Opera House. Snelson was featured in the groundbreaking documentary EVERY LITTLE STEP as well in the major motion pictures REEFER MADNESS and ACCROSS THE UNIVERSE. On the small screen, Nikki has been seen on Desperate Housewives and All My Children. Nikki plays Janelle Kincaid in the upcoming web series Ms Guidance. She received her training in Musical Theatre from Boston Conservatory. Nikki grew up in the St Louis area and made her professional debut at the St Louis Muny. Ms Snelson has directed, choreographed, and taught in Argentina, Chile, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Ireland, Scotland, Paris, London and many more. She is an artist in residence at Singapore’s famed theater school,Lasalle College of the Arts. Nicole is the Artist Director of Rochester Broadway Theater League’s Summer Star program. Her directing credits include: AINT MISBEHAVIN, WORLD GOES ROUND, GYPSY, WEDDING SINGER, PAJAMA GAME, CABARET, LEGALLY BLONDE and A CHORUS LINE. Nikki has choreographed for Elton John's Life Ball in Vienna., The Young and the Restless, The Miss America pageant and the upcoming The Funny Dance Show on E! Nikki recently created, wrote, choreographed and directed the critically acclaimed A NOT SO SILENT NIGHT for Southern California’s Vanguard University. In 2020, Ms Snelson directed and choreographed Chicago in Singapore. Most recently, Nikki wrote, directed, choreographed and edited an original film entitled ‘Ready, Set, GO. And she will be directing Mamma Mia in Southern California and Legally Blonde in Adelaide, Australia next year. Nikki resides in Orange County, California with her husband and 3 year old son. Nikki is the CEO of Musical Theatre Mayhem. Ben Cameron is a sought after writer, performer, teacher and host in New York City. Ben hosts the amazing Playbill podcast "The Broadway Cast" as well as the BroadwayWorld series... "Dance Captain, Dance Attack." Ben has appeared on Broadway in Aida and the original Broadway companies of Wicked and Footloose. His touring credits include Sweet Charity (playing opposite Molly Ringwald), Fame-The Musical, State Fair, The Who's Tommy and Footloose. As a dancer Ben has been featured with recording artist Kristine W, on The ESPY awards and in the inaugural seasons of Dre.Dance (Taye Diggs/Andrew Palermo dirs.) and The Utah Contemporary Dance Theater (now called Odyssey). As a choreographer and teacher Ben has served on the faculties of NYU's CAP21 studio and Wagner College on Staten Island. He continues to teach master classes and workshops across the country. Ben has written for the opening night gala for NYMF, Broadway's Benefit for Hurriance Relief as well as writing and directing several one person shows for Broadway vets including John Arthur Greene, Laquet Sharnell and Jessica Dillan. Ben has performed his one man show 'Different is Good' to sold out crowds in 2005 and 2010 as well as collaborative performances with singer songwriters Katie Thompson and Phil Putnam. Ben has hosted major theater industry events Rockers on Broadway, Defying Inequality, Broadway Sings Tori: A Benefit for RAINN and currently hosts The Duplex's long running open mic Mostly Sondheim for which he garnered 2 MAC award nominations. Ben is also the creator/host of Broadway Sessions, a weekly theater themed variety show in Times Square. Broadway Sessions recently celebrated it's 10th anniversary. Ben appears on the cast albums of Wicked and Footloose and is featured on the album Reach the Sky:The music of Bobby Cronin, performing 'Dance Your Troubles Away', a song written for him by Mr. Cronin. Dreamgirls Dreamgirls is a Broadway musical, with music by Henry Krieger and lyrics and book by Tom Eyen. Based on the show business aspirations and successes of R&B acts such as The Supremes, The Shirelles, James Brown, Jackie Wilson, and others, the musical follows the story of a young female singing trio from Chicago, Illinois called "The Dreams", who become music superstars. Staged with a mostly African-American cast and originally starring Jennifer Holliday, Sheryl Lee R...alph, Loretta Devine, Ben Harney, Cleavant Derricks, Vondie Curtis-Hall, and Obba Babatundé, the musical opened on December 20, 1981, at the Imperial Theatre on Broadway.
