My thistle painting has a new home with my wonderful mother in law. She is such a loving woman and I’m so glad I got her too when I married Andrew. Love you, Mom!

It feels good to finish a painting! I haven’t done that in a while. Last summer I saw this artichoke/thistle looking plant at my sister’s house. My brother in law told me it’s name is Cadoon.

Tulip from our D.C. trip. Not too happy with my tulip but the background was fun!

Things have settled down a bit and so I started on this new iris. Irises aren’t my favorite flowers but they make me think of my Memaw. So, when I paint them they remind me of the wisdom and love she shared with me. This particular iris is also special because it is from my sweet friend’s flower bed.

Finally finished the parrot tulip that I started in January and framed it and my king fisher. Their bright colors make a nice addition to my very vanilla bathroom.
