We’ve made some changes due to COVID-19 Dear Architexture Salon community, It’s been a minute since I sent an update on the ever expanding Covid-19. I wanted to update everyone on what the salon looks like to date, our continued sanitary practice and what to expect moving forward. ... We are so grateful for our clients who have rescheduled appointments due to concern they did not ‘feel well’ or thought they may have been exposed to Covid-19. This consideration means everything to my team and I, as being exposed to someone who is exhibiting symptoms (or has tested positive) could result in an extended period of lost income for us. We are aware some of our clients are immunocompromised, caring for a loved one who is immunocompromised or simply too anxious to come into the salon. I want to reassure everyone we are continuing to require hand washing upon entry, mandatory masks (over mouth and nose at all times). I recently purchased an Electrolyzed Water System which generates hypochlorus acid (HOCI) to lessen the spread of Covid-19. To help purify the air, diffusers containing HOCI will be placed throughout the salon. We are continuing to disinfect our chairs, doors (with barbicide- a hospital germicide, pseudomonacide, fungicide & virucide disinfectant). Wiping point of sale systems after every client with bleach wipes. I will begin placing our bathroom trashcan outside of the bathroom door to help further lessen contamination on faucets and door handles; the CDC also recommends shutting the toilet lid before flushing. About 2 months ago, three of my stylists decided to move to a different location for various reasons. Since then, I have gained a part-time stylist, Tarra Podesca who typically works Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday & a part-time permanent makeup artist, Shannon Isern. While change is needed and saying goodbye is not always easy, this has been a subtle blessing as it has opened up more space in the salon, resulting in minimal foot traffic. For those of you preferring to come at off peak times, I recommend my clients schedule on Saturdays as Tarra and I are the only stylists working that particular day of the week and Shannon is always in the treatment room with her clients. For the foreseeable future, we will continue this protocol and will be revisiting temperature checks fall through winter. If you feel more comfortable remaining in your vehicle until texted to come up, please let me (or your stylist) know. Otherwise, you are welcome to come into the salon upon arrival just remember to keep a safe 6’ distance to those coming and going, have your mask on when you come into the salon & wash hands before you get started with your appointment. We’ve made some changes due to COVID-19 Dear Architexture Salon community, Architexture Salon continues to remain closed during the extension of the KCMO metro shelter in place. We plan to reopen May 15th provided there is not another extension of stay at home mandates.... Your stylist will be in touch May 1st to reschedule all previously booked appointments. In the meantime, disregard any upcoming reminders you might receive as all appointments (through May 14th) are canceled at this time and online booking has been disabled for the time being. We understand you are way past due on your color and cut and trust us, we are SO excited to see you to spruce up your shaggy hair as soon as we are able but please understand, Missouri and Kansas State Board of Cosmetology prohibits home visits for haircare needs during this time of shelter in place. If for whatever reason a grumpy/nosey neighbor decides to report such favoritism we would risk losing our license. For that reason, as well as slowing the spread, we are not inclined to offer 'kitchen color or cuts.' We are however, offering color kits to our clients with gray hair! If you would like to order a color kit for $65, please text Tami at 913-302-1882 before Friday April 24th with your order. All orders will be filled the afternoon of Monday April 27th. Upon receiving your color, please allow time in your day to apply color asap as these formulas are pre-mixed & need to be applied soon after pick up or delivery. Color kits are formulated for root coverage only, additional color can be added for an extra $10 fee. Covid-19! It’s on everyone’s mind, ours included! We want our guests to know that we are taking this very seriously. We will continue to use clean tools/capes for everyone’s safety, and we will also be throughly cleaning ALL common contact surfaces between each and every guest. While we do all we can to provide a clean and healthy salon, we need your help too! We simply ask if you are sick with the flu, have a cough, fever & obviously Covid-19 symptoms, please stay home (fever free for 48 hours before coming in for your hair appointment). Another small request, we are asking our guests to wash their hands as soon as you enter the salon. Our health as well as your health & hair services are a top priority so let’s work together to slow down the spread!
