Apostolic History: During the first world-wide, Apostolic Faith Camp Meeting, held in Arroyo Seco, CA. in the year of 1913, these two ministers were responsible for the explosive revelation of the Name of Jesus which led to the development of (modern) Oneness Pentecostalism. During a baptismal sermon, Robert McAlister ( a Canadian minister) stated that during the early church, the Matthew 28:19 formula was never used by the apostles to baptize new converts. They only invoked the Name of Jesus for baptism. That night, John Scheppe received a revelation concerning the Name of Jesus and the fullness of God in Christ. After he introduced this revelation to the camp members, it began a move of God, that in 1914, developed into the Oneness Movement.

This is a rare look at Rev. Stephen Jacob Jackson Frazee (aka) J.J. Frazee. In 1912 he was elected to serve as the Chair Person for the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, serving in that capacity until 1918, when the position title was changed to General Superintendent. He served in that capacity until 1919. That same year at the merger conference with the GAAA, Frazee was replaced as General Superintendent by E.W. Doak.

Charles Parham first arrived in Galena, Kansas in the Fall of 1903. After preaching his first sermons in the living room of the Mary Arthur home at 311 Galena Ave, the home became too small to hold the crowds. Therefore, a tent was erected on the adjacent lot next to her home to accommodate the ever growing crowds. The following pictures depict these historical events.

The following story is about Mary Arthur: She was a native of Galena, Kansas. Her husband was a successful business Merchant in that town. Mary became very ill with many infirmities, of which some were life threatening. For several years she went to El Dorado Springs, MO. and drank the mineral water hoping to find healing, but to no avail. In 1903, with thoughts of suicide from her ever growing pain, her husband E.L. convinced her to go to El Dorado Springs, one more time. Wi...th great skepticism, she went. One day she heard Charles Parham preaching in the city park. He said that Jesus still healed and bid anyone who was sick to be prayed for. Mary went to him for prayer. Nothing happened! But the next day while walking down the sidewalk, she was instantly healed of all her infirmities. Upon arriving back in Galena, she caused quit a stir. Her husband demanded that she invite Parham to Galena. When he arrived in the late Fall, he preached his first sermons from her living room at 311 Galena Ave. This was the beginning of the first successful revival of the Apostolic faith in N. America, which produced the first Apostolic Faith congregation of which Mary had the privilege of pastoring. See more

Remembering a truly great Pentecostal Pioneer: Agnes N. Ozman (later) LaBerge was the first person to receive the Holy Ghost at the Bethel Bible College in Topeka, KS. The event took place on January 1, 1901. The founder of Bethel was Charles Parham. Agnes spoke in Mandrin Chinese for three days before she could speak in English. When she tried to write it was in tongues.
