"We is greater than Me. One of the most beautiful things from the Seal community [Navy Seals] is if you talk to people...in their most dire moments, where things are getting the worst, they often are more concerned about the people to the left and right than they are about themselves. My biggest fear...to this day is I am not going to be there when somebody needs me. ...that I wasn't going to live up the standard that the people to the left and right held of me and that they were going to suffer for it. I was more concerned about letting them down than myself getting hurt or killed." ~ Fmr. Navy Seal Andy Stumpf

In Luke 4:9-11, Satan tempted Jesus saying, "If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: For it is written, He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee: And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone." Jesus responded in Luke 4:12, "...Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God." As temples of the Holy Ghost (1 Cor 6:19) we ought to take care of our bodies. (1 Cor 6:12-20, Romans 12:1, 1 Cor 9:27, 1 Tim 4:8..., 1 Cor 3:16-17) Paul taught us also to "Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God" (Romans 13:1, NKJV). Jesus' temptation demonstrates two important points relative to this time: 1) I don't need to flaunt my faith by intentionally violating His principles of health and submission in order to prove my identity in Christ. ("Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God") 2) Unless, I do have a WORD from God ("man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God"). Then natural laws may be suspended at anytime, anytime for His purpose. ("Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God"). We must discern His voice and the times. Satan will always try to get man to prove himself to be something. God will always see that man will prove God to be everything.
