After painting Hannah Wuestenberg's two horses, little sister Emma asked for a picture of one of her favorite "friends" Minnie Mouse. This is entitled "Emma and Minnie Have Tea." I delivered it to her when Juli Hackethal and I went out to visit this summer.

Granddaughter Hannah Wuestenberg wanted Grandpa Andy to paint her a picture of "two horses in a field with a barn. One dark brown and one Appaloosa." The Appaloosa in this painting is similar to one that Grandma Juli Hackethal rode when she lived in Colorado. When I sent Erin Wuestenberg a photo of the finished painting, she sent me a photo of Hannah's favorite plush horse.
This is a recently completed commission for Daylinda Clayton. Juli and I met up with her at the AHS 40th Class reunion this past summer. The painting is 10x13" on 300 lb cold press Arches WC paper. I enjoyed working on this one for as I did, I got to think back on friends and the 1973 Senior Class of Alton Senior High School.
Try this again! This sled was my dad's as a kid and I grew up with it. Very fast and could turn very sharply. Currently it is in my music/art room. This is my first full sheet (22x30") watercolor. I worked on and off on it since October 2012. The effect I was wanting to achieve is that of barn dust filtering sunlight.
Painted for Juli's Aunt Bette and Uncle Ernie Johnson. Courtesy of the owners.
