Mark Reed, Post 38 Adjutant, presents Don Eagleburger with his American Legion 65 year member patch. Don served his country and has been serving his community longer than many of us have been around, Our hats off to you Mr. Eagleburger .
Auxiliary Unit 38 Fair Grove's Vice President Shelley Padgett visited with Jennifer at the Fair Grove Senior Center preparing cinnamon rolls for the breakfast. Thanks Fair Grove Senior Center and Jennifer for helping the Post. (YUM YUM)
Saturday at Heinline-Hanks American Legion Post 38. Welcomed: National Vice Commander for Midwest Region, Richard A. Heigert for Breakfast at Post 38 'Mess Hall' for the morning. Attendance was very good most especially because of heavy Thunderstorms. Thanks to everyone involved in making this a successful project. Pictures posting later.
Great historical article from the Buffalo Reflex about Post 38.
Before....After....one window sill still left then second coat on all windows repaint wall add address sign. Next, windows on side of building.
Some were upset because the Heritage Festival was canceled. The American Legion Post for sure will be trying to make up the loss of revenue generated from this event. But considering the controversial situation it would have been too difficult to make the Post volunteers safe. Hopeful for a better outcome next year. Thank you for supporting your Veterans during the past Festivals! Commander Heinline-Hanks Post # 38.
Thanks to Carl Buckner for Carpenter Master skills.
Renovating the front windows sills filled in porch cracks and painted it
