So earlier this month one of our long time employees retired. J.R. helped us off and on for close to 45 years. Although this picture is older and he now has many more wrinkles, gray hair and less of it, it is still a fitting likeness of him. For the last several years he and Doug, the other retirement eligible one in the picture have kept our parts business running. We have appreciated all he has done for the business over the years and I’m sure there’s many customers that wi...ll miss his knowledge , but we are glad he is now getting to kick back and enjoy a little relaxing. Happy retirement Mr. P . Sorry this is late getting posted but don’t think you haven’t been appreciated. We have a retirement gift that we will be getting to you . We just have to let it ferment a little longer. Or maybe let it age to perfection. Or maybe it is already aged. Or maybe it isn’t something that needs to be aged. Maybe it just needs polished. Or eaten. Or looked at. Who knows. Maybe it helps your hearing. Guess you’ll find out. The old Toad wasn’t involved in it so you know it’s more than just a cigar. Thanks for all you’ve done for us. What a night at the museum. If you missed it, you missed a great evening. This man here, Karl Allison, gave a living history of El Dorado Springs. He owns one ...of the oldest continual business in town. His recognition of our town was outstanding. The people in the audience ask questions and others added information. It was like opening a history book of El Dorado Springs. You can tell how proud he is of El Dorado Springs, he said we were just good people. Thank you Karl. See more

BUSINESS NOTICE CONCERNING COVID-19 Please share. At our business of Allison Tire and Auto Parts it is really hard to do what we do sometimes without coming in contact with people. In our rural small town situation our customers are used to standing around visiting as they have always done. With the Covid-19 issue I would like to emphasize that all of our work in the tire shop can be done without you having to exit your car. You CAN REMAIN inside with the window up (car ...off) the whole time, and pay without leaving your car. We will post signs encouraging all our customers to do this and if just dropping off a tire for repair or replacement we encourage them to leave it and pick it up later. This is for the safety of our EMPLOYEES as well as our CUSTOMERS. As we are at the beginning of farm season it is necessary for us to be here as long as possible as the local farmers get equipment ready for planting, baling, brush hogging , etc. Most farms will have well over 100 tires spread around on equipment, trailers and vehicles. As mentioned previously , any service we offer on your vehicle can be done without you leaving the vehicle , however you will be up on jacks so you will have to be comfortable with that. Although many consider this a "less than crucial" pandemic, we need to remember that there are many who are at risk just by being around someone that has been around someone that has been infected.
