What a week!!! It's only 4:38 a.m. as I'm crawling into bed after sewing a 1/2 dozen pillows after midnight. Also, experimenting with Mr. Deer here. Seems EVERYONE would like to get their hands on a Deer Silhouette so we are going to get this sucker down. Does Kalli look tired? ( after cutting all those little antlers out of fabric - Holy Cow!) We're going to take the weekend to organize the studio, collect supplies for some great gifts you can give AND HUGE NEWS... set up our BRAND NEW MONOGRAM MACHINE!!!! We are stoked! It's nearly 5 a.m.! This batch went tonight at midnight and Melissa had a darling tray in the front window waiting for them! The store had me drooling!!!!now we need a prayer they are a hit! I have A LOT of projects under way here...no rest for me! Might try a couple hours and then it's back to design....and maybe some quilted pillows??

We're baaack!!! FINALLY! And we have PILLOWS AND MORE PILLOWS for the season!! We just dropped off our first load! We are taking up space in a lovely little boutique in downtown Lee's Summit to share our handmade goods off line too. It's a super exciting move and an honor to be invited to be a part of my FAV store! If you are local you can find these at Very Violet Boutique this Saturday! It's their grand opening in a new fabulous space AND Christmas Open House 10-5.... Once I survive the weekend, I will post all available fabrics and pillows can be special ordered directly here on the page as well. I'd love to take some time and write y'all a lovely blog about where we've been but Alice Marie's is BUSY sewing....like ALL night! Let's just say living our first summer without Alice was a RUDE AWAKENING for this Momma at home with her twin granddaughter's...wow! They kept me on my feet and I realized even more what a HUGE contribution she made in helping raise these girls...and then I fell SO in love with being home with them everyday that I kept them home! Yep! We are officially homeschooler's and loving it! They have begged for almost 2 years. Just wish we had Grandma Alice to share our days at home with. We celebrated her first Birthday with her in Heaven this week. An overwhelming sad day to say the least. Now we are embarking on the toughest Season without our Angel. Our hope is to keep busy honoring her name and wearing out her sewing machine. I bet she can't even believe I'm using it. It seems the days are longest and carry a deeper sadness when we don't fill them. I'm starting to believe she'd like us to fill them but again what I wouldn't give:( Happy Birthday Alice Marie...your name is officially a brand on a tag in a store! I think you would love it!

Our version....Prettier?! We came up with this little prototype in May as a teacher gift. I saw something similar but no way no how was I using a potholder! We improvised and handmade the whole shebang of course!! Which suits your fancy?... These were the teachers chosen colors and patterns. I DO see some items in the link I would add for emergencies for girls. I can start taking special orders and offer color options for school if I get any yays or nays?
