Welp, we hit the jackpot on weather for this adorable family's photos at The National Museum of Transportation this morning! Trains, trains and even more trains for these locomotive-obsessed kiddos...who barely wanted to stand still for any pics -- they just wanted to run and explore!!

Do you know what one of the best best BEST part of my job is?! Getting to watch the itty bitty babies I snap coming into this world grow up! We had the best little afternoon getting to snap some updated pics for their big 3 year old and 6 month old...and goodness! Was it a challenge or what to pick out my favorites to share...but I managed to whittle it down to a few for you

Ahhhh, 2020 - it’s about that time to bid you farewell and welcome a brand new year! I had my final photo shoot of 2020 yesterday morning and decided to compile a few (read: almost 700!!) of my favorite snaps from this year into a very fast, less than one minute hyper lapse video for you! I truly cannot believe how many families I had the privilege of having in front of my lens this year, and how many tens of thousands of pictures I got to snap! I say it all of the time, bu...t I seriously cannot thank you all enough for the love, support, and allowing me to capture your memories! Ahhh, friends2020 is wrapping up and on Friday we welcome a brand spankin’ new year! Although as garbage-dumpy as 2020 was in so many regards, it also was a pretty amazing year for me and those who graced the front of my lens. COVID made this year incredibly difficult for small business, but manit’s also has shown me all of the wonderful love and support from my amazing clients and families as well! As a fun and different little way to wrap up this year, I’m doing someth...ing new launching my 2020 in Review album for you to browseand vote on! Things I love: wonderful families, perfect 50 degree late October evenings, and brand spankin’ new fur babies! Tonight I hit the jackpot with all 3!!

HOLY PERFECT EVENING!! After the rainy week we had here in STL, we were graced with the most perfect golden-y fall evening! And I busted out my monster telephoto lens for this sweet family’s session tonight and it.did.not.disappoint. I swear I forget how awesome this beast is to capture families from like 30 feet away!!!!

Goodness, in-home newborn sessions will forever hold my heart! I just love love love getting to capture these first moments together with families...especially when I get to come back and do new little brother's pictures too!

I had to work for those smiles -- but boy oh boy! Were they worth it! Sweet little Louis couldn't have been any cuter this evening for his family's session!

I don't even want to admit how many messages we exchanged leading up to tonight about rainout talk and reschedules...BUT IT WAS ALL FOR NOTHING No rain was had and we had the most perfect (albeit a smidgen windy and chilly) evening at the creek for this sweet family's snaps!!

Two years ago was one of the hardest days of our lives: we had to say hello and see you later all at the same time to our sweet little Clark. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about him and miss him dearlyand so wish he could be snuggled up here with us and running around with his crazy brothers and sisters. But the one thing our little man gave me was something no one else ever could have done, and I am forever and ever grateful and so thankful to him for that. He gave... me the biggest push to take the greatest leap of faith to quit my full time teaching job and make a career out of photography. It was a terrifying and uncertain move, but with everything that 2018 brought and what happened with our little Clark, it turned out to be the best move of my life. I am living my dream each and every day, capturing families and kids and brand new babies coming into this world, and Clark is 100% to thank for that. I don’t know where I’d be today if it wasn’t for our little guy’s path, and with that I am forever and ever grateful for him and all that he’s done, and the lasting impact he’s left. If he can’t be here with us, I’ll make sure everyone knows his story, hears his name, and celebrates him and all that he’s done for myself, our family, and oh so many others. Happiest of heavenly birthdays, sweet Clark. We love you so much and cannot wait to snuggle you again someday! Keep doing big things up there little buddy, and we’ll keep celebrating you down here

This mama is the definition of the phrase, 'nurse on!' -- because that's just what she's been doing! Nearly 3 years separate these two images, and while the babes in each are different, they're still both doing the same thing and loving up on their mama and her mama's milk

We sure love St. Louis, and, well, we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the big ONE with a perfect tribute of all of our favorite STL food and drink spots!

I’ve gotten to snap this little dude’s pics for the past 5 years -- ever since he turned 1! -- and it is one of my favorite shoots every fall. I love getting to catch up with his sweet mama and grandparents, and of course Leo himself! We had the most perfect (albeit chilly!) fall evening for snaps and I have truly just loved so much getting to document this dude’s growth every autumn!!

Well hello fall! The colors around STL are finally popping and it made for just the most perfect background for this family's session this morning! Piper was just a little doll and I just loved getting to follow her around on all of her adventures Also would love to bottle her energy for some use of my own too

39 had nothing on this family! We had the most perfect (oh-so-chilly!) fall morning hanging together and getting some amazing family snaps in! So many smiles and giggles and minimal complaints about the weather -- it was definitely a great morning!

I got to be there to witness sweet little Parker's very first latch...and then today, a little over two months after her fast and furious arrival, we got some update nursing photos with her and her gorgeous mama! Excited to share some more from their session oh-so-soon!!
