Happy New Year from all of us at Albany TV. 2020 was a weird year. We were able to bring you some great games but then lost some great games as well, including the return of AHS baseball, and a (hopeful) deep run in the football playoffs. We are just thankful for the things we were able to bring you. So here's to hoping that 2021 is the best year yet for all of our students, schools, customers and viewers past, present, and future.

Things to be thankful for...let me think. How about a being a part of a wonderful school district with the BEST kids and the BEST group of teachers? Yup...sound...s good to me! We hope everyone is enjoying some time at home this week. We’d love to have all of our favorite kids back in the building, but life has a funny way of changing our plans sometimes. We hope you all have a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving break. From all of us at school, Happy Thanksgiving! We’ll see you next week Warriors! See more
DON’T FORGET!
Just a reminder AMI-X is NOT the work in the back of your child's green folder. Teachers will be reaching out to teach lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Wednes...days and Fridays will be used for contacting students to make sure the skills taught are mastered. Most teachers will be using Google Classroom for these lessons. Younger grade levels will be using other methods of instruction. Please call the school if you need meals delivered or do not have internet access. This post is for information only; please call the school with any questions. Thank you! See more
Albany School will go AMI-X starting tomorrow, Thursday 11/19 through Wednesday 11/25 and be back face to face on Tuesday 11/30. Adventure Club will be open for students that are not in quarantine. Breakfast and lunch is available as well. If you have any questions please read the link and/or call the school.
HIGH SCHOOL HOLIDAY HOOPS 2020 CANCELLED! It is with much regret that we announce the cancellation of Holiday Hoops 2020. With the increase in COVID cases ...in Grundy and adjoining counties coupled with growing cases in communities across Missouri and Iowa where contracted teams are scheduled to participate, the Holiday Hoops Steering Committee voted last night to cancel the 2020 edition. Over 100 teams from 55 Missouri and Iowa High Schools were scheduled to participate in the 16th Annual Holiday Hoops on the Campus of North Central Missouri College in Trenton. Officials regret that this decision had to be made but felt concerned about safety for student/athletes, coaches, officials and fans. Already looking forward to 2021 and thanks to all for your support and cooperation.

2020 All-GRC Team
This video features all 58 touchdowns from the 8 games this Albany team played this year. This year no game was promised but this team still went to practice each day and played each game, as they should like it could be their last. For the seniors on this team, it was a tremendous pleasure to call your games and watch you not only grow as team but as young men over the past couple of seasons. For the juniors, sophomores, and freshmen, you have been shown what true leadership looks like. Now take this hurt and know that no game, no play is ever guaranteed, so play this next one like it could be your last, because it very well could. Take this anger and use it your advantage not only on the field but also in the weight room. I know this is tough but you will get through this because you are all #warriorstrong. - Jered Rolves
Perry’s post... Tonight our football family lost a lifetime of memories in a matter of hours. That may not sound like much to some but to those among us who had the privilege and honor of having these memories, those teammates, coaches and fans know how much this game and this season means or rarther meant to our young men. Instead of telling those boring stories of how we beat them, or how we put it all on the line at just the right time, who scored the touchdown that put ...us over the top. Better yet, all the hard work was truly worth it. 47 years later I still remember the hollow feeling i had walking off the field for the last time, even though we won it it didnt take away that feeling. To know that WE would never be the same. My heart aches for the seniors and the coaches. I will always be a warrior and will always regard all of you as brothers. I would give anything for you to have the feeling you walked off because of your effort not because of this. My name is Perry and i will always be around if any of you need to talk to an old geezer, cause i know what you feel! Perry Phillips See more
Tonight the Albany Warriors should be playing a district game at home. Due to Covid-19, that district game and the rest of the season is gone, but the memories from this 2020 Albany Warrior Football team will be here forever. #staywarriorstrong
It’s now official. Albany finishes as the 4 seed and will start off the district t playoffs at home against 5 seed Rock Port. The Albany R-III School will broadcast the games on MSHSAA.tv with AlbanyTV doing the play-by-play. There will be a cost to watch the game through MSHSAA.tv. Neither AlbanyTV or the Albany R-III School wanted to make people pay to watch but wanted to make the game available for those that can’t make it to the game.
Sorry we lost power tonight during the BTC Bank postgame. Our Poppa’s player of the game tonight was Tryce Floyd with 4 touchdown runs an interception and multiple big plays on defense.
