The fear of taking care of ourselves can often be the fear of letting others down. I think we forget that if we aren’t at our best, we can’t be there for others at all. Airlines have it right when they say, place your mask on first before assisting others. Taking care of yourself doesn’t mean you don’t care about others. It doesn’t make you selfish. It doesn’t make you unkind. Putting yourself first means you’re aware of your worth. You’re aware that you need to be okay if you want to help others be okay. #selfworth #selflove #healing #therapy #needs #notselfish #deserving

There is often a dialogue that I hear from people. I will be enough when I will love my self when I will allow myself to have that when When is when? Now. Now you are enough. Now you can love yourself. Now you can have the things you want. Self love is complicated. We may seek validation and reassurance from the people in our lives, but we can’t truly accept it until we first offer it to ourselves.... When we refuse to live in the moment, we refuse to thrive. Thriving is embracing the moments you have and not setting restrictive limits on your value or worth. Remember, you weren’t born hating yourself. #EDRD #eatingdisorderdietitian #recovery #edrecovery #stl #stltherapist #stlouisdietitian #stldietitian #haes #antidiet #bodypositive #healthateverysize #bodyacceptance #intuitiveeating #edrecoverywarrior #eatingdisorders #recoveryispossible #Bingeeatingdisorder #anorexia #bulimia #exerciseaddiction #bodykindness #selflove #selfacceptance #thrivenotsurvive #therapy
